The Campbellsville Eagles 2024 season came to an end much like it did last season, with a loss in the State Semi-Final game to eventual Class A State Champion Sayre. The Eagles were able to win the Region Title game again this year and have knocked on that door two years in a row... The 2025 version of Eagles will be Eager to knock that door down next year... The Eagles lose starters Devin Kinser, Garrett McFadden and Channing Tungate to graduation.  Campbellsville will look back on lessons learned, they will train hard, and get ready for the 2025 Season....

The Pikeville crew thinks the Panthers will return to the top of class A next season but with all Campbellsville has returning I would not be so sure.  WOW most of a very good team is returning so based on that my early pick for class A is Campbellsville.

By my numbers Campbellsville returns the most of any class 1A team. Raceland and KCD are close behind.

Got a really good offensive lineman returning home too that will help anchor that o-line.

Aside from what’s returning, expect more things out of Les Colvin, Christian Hart, and LD Smith this year. They’re the studs of that young group, but they’ve got a lot of talented depth in those freshman and sophomore classes that were getting acclimated to varsity level this year. Campbellsville will be in good shape for a while.

Wish Campbellsville would put Taylor County back on the schedule. I heard it fell through on Campbellsville end.

Sir. You and everyone in the community knows that is ABSOLUTELY false.

I would like to see that rivalry comeback. I think it is 13 Campbellsville 11 Taylor County. I am not from this community. Just a KY HS football fan. And I love a god rivalry. just was stating what I had been told. Can you elaborate on why they cannot get this game going again. Thank you

Campbellsville would love to play Taylor County... Campbellsville did not cancel the Rivalry Game to begin with... Hopefully the two can get back to playing each other... The people of the community want the game to happen... Its one of the Top 3 events that happens in Taylor County Every Year...

Thank you. I also hope they can get back to playing. I love a good HS rivalry.

I don’t know specifically “why”, though with how good Campbellsville is and is set up for the foreseeable future I have my own thoughts. Hopefully, when this superintendent at Taylor retires this month there will be some discussions on bringing the game back.

The schedule has already been set along with contracts for next season. Taylor County came looking for this game late should have never cancel this rivalry game in the first place!

Bump.

Said it in the Raceland post, but you'd be hard pressed to pick against Campbellsville and Raceland next year.
