I hope Taylor County can find someone that can be successful there and is wanting to be make it their home. The new coach will be the 7th coach since the 2010 season (Curtis Cotton, Eric Graves, Dudley Hilton, Jason Foley, Sam Marple, and Scott Parkey). It's hard to get where you want to be when you have a coaching change every 3 years.

Question for the Boyle fans “in the know.” Rumor has it that Seneca Driver is reclassifying and will be graduating this year. Any truth to that?

I agree with you about this being an interesting game. Both teams have some very good playmakers, but I believe this game is going to come down to who wins the war in the trenches. My heart wants to pull for Belfry, but my mind tells me LCA in a very competitive game.

I'm enjoying seeing both of these teams in the semis, but I have got to admit, I'm jumping on the Atherton bus for this one. This is one of the games that I may travel to go see.

I'm taking Murray. I've been telling my friends most of the season that it was hard to know how good Murray is because they are located in western KY. There is not a lot of good 3A competition in their region this year, especially with Union Co. not being as good as in previous years. The game against Lexington Catholic was a very fun game to watch! That game also showed what they could do against really good competition. Catholic played a very tough schedule with non-district opponents of: Ballard, LCA, Ashland, and Boyle. Unfortunately, for whoever wins will more than likely faceoff with CAL who is just on another level than anyone else in 3A.

Unfortunately for Bell County, CAL is one of the top 5 teams in the state in any class. Some would even say they are the best. The Bobcats have had a very good year, but 3A belongs to CAL right now and maybe for the foreseeable future.

I am hoping to be watching the Eagles at Kroger Field! Has Campbellsville ever made it to the finals?

The talent pool is very dry at Casey. Last year, they had 2 players who had ever started a varsity game, and no one had any quarterback experience. I don't believe Nick Saban could have won a game last year. This year has been better, but far from good or competitive in several games. The team has only 3 seniors, with several juniors and a decent size freshman class. If the administration changes coaches, I think it would be another setback for Casey. 3 coaches in the past 4 years is tough enough to overcome as it is. Even with the returning junior class, Casey may be able to win a few more games next year but will not be as competitive as in years past. I do not believe there is a quick fix, and that it will be a several years process for Casey. I know something was said earlier about assistant coaches, but if I'm not mistaken, Casey has 2 assistant coaches from outside of the county now. 1 from Lincoln County and 1 from Bourbon County. The assistant who started the season as OC last year was still on staff after the position was given to the assistant from Lincoln County.
