  1. Couldn’t agree more on the unselfish play of this year’s team ALL AROUND. Take Beechwood’s QB1, he could have threw for more yards and TD’s this season and his own stats were sacrificed so that the team could be multi-dimensional in so many ways. At any given time there could have been multiple Beechwood football players that could step up and help in the running game. Great job on the coaching staff adjusting when needed and thank you QB1 for being the leader you have been over your career at Beechwood. I can’t leave this thought though on all the big blocks our dudes had all season, there were so many big blocks in this game that helped Beechwood time and time again. Great job lineman and line coaches!
  2. How about those ATHLETES? Maybe a few out there making comments earlier this week on radio realize now that Beechwood 100% indeed has great football players and coaches.
  3. Would have also been a fun game for Beechwood against Cov Cath back in September had everyone been healthy on Beechwood’s side when they played, BUT we’ll never know.
  4. I’ve had the opportunity to watch Ryle’s players since they were 1st & 2nd graders, these young men have been winners their entire football career. Best of Luck to the Ryle Raiders and bring back to NKY a State Championship.
  5. I don’t know if this is an RPI problem, but do feel the larger districts in numbers ( 5 or 6 teams) vs. some that only have 4 teams in a district are at a disadvantage earning a higher RPI through out the season. Someone please educate me whether this is the case or not because the RPI is still funny math to me.
  6. Good write up VOR! IMO I completely agree about the coaching staff and the game plan that was laid out against LCA. Jack and Bo dominated the defensive side and feel the players fed off it. The offense, wow, pick your poison, but have to hand it to the O-line, they made QB1 and all the skill players jobs much easier.……509 yards, impressive.
  7. Lot of people in the State feel Beechwood didn’t have it in them this season and under rated them, please keep doing so, Beechwood showed up on defense tonight and also had SEVERAL players step up you may not always hear about, team win all around. Hats off the LCA and best of luck next season.
  8. No one around the state really knows what Beechwood can do, they played Cov Cath back in September down without a few major forces on both sides of the ball, those guys are back now! Beechwood needs to worry about Beechwood and they’ll come out okay and if they don’t, then they’ll find themselves watching two other teams a week later fighting it out at Kroger Field playing for a state championship.
  9. Regardless of what happens over the next few weeks I hope ALL NKY teams left in post play represent well. Being a Beechwood fan, also I like seeing Beechwood in most of this post discussion as the underdog, it’s been that way all season and I feel most don’t give them the credit they deserve, only time will tell.
  10. Agreed all around, with the RPI being misleading on how really good teams are in NKY, I’d put up most the 4A Teams thru 6A teams in NKY up against any of the other regional areas in similar classes and even though some off these teams have losing records would beat most of those respective teams in other regions. It just shows how good NKY teams are this year……I.M.O.
  11. I know your not an OC Fan, I was referring to the others feeling OC will walk easily into the Championship and win no problem without being tested.
  12. Some over confidence with a few on OC…….a little over month will determine if OC is that good or not. I like where LCA, Beechwood and Mayfield are at as well. I’d like to see OC’s record if they played the teams LCA played early in the season.
  13. You all give OC too much credit, mail in the trophy? Maybe play a tougher schedule like LCA and Beechwood and win and I’d feel different about OC.
  14. At this point, it stinks Beechwood may have to travel in the post playoff because of a flawed RPI system and there may not be a better solution so let’s roll with it! IMO, I hope Beechwood has the opportunity to go down the list and play as many of top teams in 2A getting to the State Championship (like Mayfield had todo last year) and if they have opportunity at Kroger and win, then get! If those lose early then they don't deserve to be there. Like someone said last year, timing is everything in the playoffs, staying healthy and having little bit of luck goes along way too.
  15. So 2A schools with fewer teams in their district have the opportunity to earn more RPI points within a season when playing a 3A to 6A size school and win? How long has KHSAA let this go on for now?
  16. Since the loss to Cov Cath, it's interesting how Beechwood keeps going backwards in total points week after week and they keep winning their games. Yes, the teams they played earlier in the season seem to keep losing so that doesn’t help them, is that right? Are the larger teams in the south particularly south west that much better than the 4A thru 6A teams in Northern Kentucky? No shot at my Norther Kentucky teams because that’s who I support more being from the area, it just looks like the math doesn’t add up with the RPI.
  17. Let’s hope when Beechwood is fully healthy across the board they completely get it together and win a 2A State Championship. But that’s going to be really hard to do playing just 1 or 2 quarters of a game over the next month and half until 3rd round of playoffs.
  18. Cooper didn’t win because they were “older” they won because they are a better team.
  19. Maybe NOT as many State Champs, but “No More State Champs” come on. Maybe a few years here and there.
  20. I would like to see Beechwood move up into a larger class of play OR at least not have as many district teams they have to play. Yes, it would be real nice to have an opportunity to play a few larger classes for another week or two than go through this type of play, for both teams. KHSAA really needs to step up and figure this out OR at least get people who sit on a Board that get it and do something about it.
  21. Fryman and Erdman did not play at all. There was a few banged up that were limited time to time, but those two were not playing.
  22. RPI is an unfair to Beechwood and those who have a say in it know it!.
  23. IMO-It would of been neat to see Beechwood have Fryman and Erdman for the game, can’t say the outcome would of been different in win/loss column, but do feel the game would have been a different style of game. Bad timing for Beechwood, but that’s how the game goes, as for “Better Athletes” comment earlier made in the chat, I’d put those two players up there at the top with any others in the game last night.
