  1. Congratulations to Highlands, the team is on FIRE and should represent the 9th Region well at State.
  2. Does anyone know what metrics Prep Baseball uses ranking KY HS teams?
  3. Exciting news for Owen and the Pitzer Family! There will for sure be more to come.
  4. Congratulations to Lyon County, well deserved. Great team, well coached and nice fans.
  5. Congratulations to Jacob Savage and his Family. What an awesome selection!
  6. I drive down to Lexington to support Coach Sully and his Jags Team. Although it’s a late game tonight and crowd is small for the 9th Region, I’ll take Jags by 15
  7. Pitching was good on both sides. Dixie’s pitcher was wheeling and dealing, I was surprised though that the coach let him go over 100 pitches in March, but assume it was for the win and shutout.
  8. The Beechwood Super is in a great position and can retire early by what he’s invested in over the last two plus decades within his retirement plan, you can't blame him for that, this is a no brainer. You can’t blame a person not to do the best for their family. He’s helped make Beechwood a much better place and it didn’t start overnight. There was a lot of planning, collaboration and community effort to get Beechwood’s infrastructure where it is today which was led by the Super! He’s able to step away at a great time and am sure he will be there to support the direction for the new Super when that time comes.
  9. Best of Luck to Kam. Great young man and from a great family.
  10. It all starts up front, I feel Ryle has the skill players to accomplish anything, BUT the overall difference maker will be whether they have a solid offensive line that can protect QB1 next season, if so, then they’ll have a great opportunity against someone such as Trinity in the 6A State Championship Best of Luck to the Raiders, they’ve been champions their entire career for the 2026 Class and hope they can add to it winning 6A in December 2025.
  11. Beechwood will be fine, there will be a lot of the doubters out there in 2025 and again most of the hype for 2A in 2025 will be down in southwest part of the State just like this past season. Beechwood line moving up from JV will do good, BUT has to become mature and battle ready quickly in order to help Beechwood make it far into post season play. On VOR comment about Belfry, it’s going to be interesting to see them in the hunt late in the season and where they land. Fryman and Pabst can manage the running game with the Wildcat, but Beechwood needs a strong passing game so I hope Coppage or Sowder is up for the challenge. Although VOR commented that the RPI will be a little favorable toward Beechwood in 2025, I strongly doubt it because KHSAA won’t truly fix the problem with the district having more teams than most of the other 2A districts. Plus, Beechwood’s area has better 3, 4,5 and 6 A teams that they play collectively than most of the other 2A schools (with exception of LCA). Go Tigers!
  12. Completely agree, BUT a lot of people didn’t know how really good the Beechwood team was this year because having two really good players out vs. Cov Cath and for early part of the season. When one of those kids finally got back for the last few games left and the dynamics changed because of what it opened up for receivers on offense and made the defense much better in the secondary. Those that know Beechwood know what I’m talking about. Granted, more and more Beechwood players started stepping up later in season as well. The O-Line and D-Line handled business regardless the size of their opposition.
  13. IMO……I couldn’t tell from watching the games by TV on Saturday, but Friday looked like there was more in attendance being in person.
  14. Was there ever record of which State Championship game had the most in attendance?
  15. Totally agree, Coaches can control most of these actions on and off the field, it was evident out of the gate during the coin toss toss which coach showed appreciation for the players out there as well as the other coach and while to me (IMO) another coach showed a arrogance stepping back quickly to his side line while all the players and officials were still in the center of the field shaking hands.
  16. Well, the film don’t lie as far as who is punching who at the end of the game on the last play, yes emotions are high, but that does leave a bad taste, also #4 for Beechwood was trying to help the QB up on the last play and was pushed away, it would have been different if #4 only tried to help the player up on that play only, but it was obvious he and other team members helped on multiple players up before. Summing it up, Regardless of winning or losing, how you go about carry yourself is more important in life at the end of the day.
  17. @CWB If that’s what you understood why bring it to the question today vs. finding out more details before stirring rumors? You know enough people in the area you could ask before going this route, but I guess that’s what you have todo being Cov Cath didn’t make it as far and looking at ruining Beechwood fans enjoying this week of the victory they just had this past weekend.
  18. And the only one from NKY was the least one that most thought would even win this year.
  19. BG D-Line just dominant in 2nd half, that was part of the game changer
  20. Being you’ve been to all the games, what’s your crake on the crowd sizes per game/team?
  21. Going to be a battle of who has less turnovers in 2nd Half. IMO I feel Cooper will start warming up on the offensive end with a few deep throws for TD’s. O-line, buckle down.
  22. I’d thought there be more in attendance at the Ryle vs. Trinity game. Most fans must be back in Louisville and Union watching from home.
  23. Good Kick! Some good catches on a few downs during the last few series of play for Ryle.
