  1. I love that album. One of my favorite albums of last year.
  2. Here is a video for "Love The Way You Walk Away"
  3. I've had American Goldwing, the latest by Blitzen Trapper in heavy rotation the last week. It has a very '70's rock feel. Several songs remind me of The Band quite a bit. Something I would highly recommend to anyone. My personal favorite from the album is "Love The Way You Walk Away".
  4. There is a hilarious tumblr about Siri but the web address isn't BGP friendly. It's similiar to that show about things your Dad says.
  5. Siri's popularity causes connection problems.
  6. I wish they had some type of breakdown of what phone the customers upgraded from.
  7. I'm sure Owensboro will be in Region 1 and Madison Southern will land in Region 7. Do you know what region Male will be in? My guess is Region 4, but I'm not positive. Unfortunately, I don't see any of the schools listed in the current alignment link on KHSAA.org http://www.khsaa.org/wrestling/alignment.pdf
  8. I was pumped about possibly getting 1GB of RAM. I have the 3GS and don't really see this as a necessary upgrade. Seems to me the main thing Apple is pushing I'd Siri. I am A) not sure how much I'd use it and B) skeptical about how effective it is. I have never been very impressed with any voice recognition devices/services I've used so far.
  9. Yep. I didn't see enough for me personally to switch from 3Gs to 4 and I'm still not seeing it here.
  10. Here is a live blog of the unveiling.
  11. Sucks. I was trying to wait out the 5. May continue to rock the 3Gs for awhile.
  12. Not positive if it was this thread but I know they've been mentioned on here by me. Love their latest album and "Pumped Up Kicks" was one of the better songs this summer.
  13. I'm with Jim. It was nothing like For Emma, Forever Ago for me.
  14. Here are how team points are calculated in a dual meet: Win by Decision - 3 Points Win by Major Decision (8 or more points) - 4 points Win by Technical Fall (15 or more points) - 5 points Win by Fall - 6 points Win by DQ, Forfeit, Default - 6 points Tournament scoring is a little more complicated but here is a decent overview.
  15. Loving the #1. Hoping Coach finally gets his championship!
  16. The good schools go outside of state lines all of the time. Ryle is often chastized for wrestling almost solely in Ohio. I'm one who believes you go where the competition is, no matter the state. And to say they do "fairly well" is an understatement. Since the state tournament went to 32 wrestlers in '02 the NKY region has been the toughest each year.
  17. I gave it a listen last night and definitely enjoyed it. There were a couple of tracks I wasn't crazy about but overall solid album. Thanks for the heads up!
  18. A freind gave me a copy fo Rave On Buddy Holly this weekend which is a compilation of various Buddy Holly songs from a very interesting collection of artists including Paul McCartney, Justin Townes Earle, Kid Rock, and Cee-Lo Green. Tribute albums tend to be hit or miss, though usually more on the miss side. But this is one that has a lot more hits than misses (Lou Reed's cover of "Peggy Sue" stands out as a huge miss). Some highlights are: "Maybe Baby" - Justin Townes Earle "(You're So Square) Baby, I Don't Care" - Cee Lo Green "Oh Boy!" - She & Him "True Love Ways" - My Morning Jacket "Words of Love" - Patti Smith "That'll Be The Day" - Modest Mouse And very surprisingly, Kid Rock's soulful take on "Well All Right" is pretty good.
  19. Cool deal. I never knew there was any kind of store to purchase music in Bardstown besides the Wal-Mart.
  20. I heard "Two Against One" a few weeks back and enjoyed it. I'm just now giving the whole album a listen. Very cool side project. Definitely nails the spaghetti western feel and I hope it's not the last from them. My favorite tracks are the White and Jones ones.
  21. It's not new but I can't wait for this: http://store.thirdmanrecords.com/lorettalynn-vanlearrose12vinyl-2.aspx
  22. Would be nice to see. With their region and proximity to Ohio they will have a great opportunity to face quality competition and should have a very competitive team after some initial growing pains.
  23. I have to ask, where is a record store in B'town?
