The game was exciting with a great atmosphere for 3 plus quarters..big difference from last few years...no participation awards wanted..all about getting better and continuing to compete...learning to win.

Certainly true..but was encouraged by Raiders effort beginning a road back to relevance against a really good team...Excitement in the Raider arena for first time in a long time!

Well..we can agree that this game was an exposure event. News Flash..Ryle is not the same team without the best player in the state. Maddie takes over games and she would have this one. Hope they get to play again..then you will see what the difference is.

It seems clear that the four best teams are Covcath, Newcath, Highlands, and St. Henry with the Colonels the best..the rest all could be second. Right behind those four is Lloyd. 6 to 12 is anyone's guess and up for grabs...looks like a wild ride in the 9th this year!

Beechwood's seniors last year were hugely underrated and won't be replaced easily. That coupled with Bieger quitting will make it tough for Tigers. Anyone know what happened with Bieger? Shame in his senior year.

When the get it rockin and rollin...they can put up some points! Very well coached by Listerman. Vincent can play...all around game.

Great game. Many very questionable calls against the Colonels IMO. All the new kids are great but give me Disken Green and Moser for the money. Love watching Joey Moser play..what a hard nosed kid. Heart and soul of that team!

I know..dont know why..thought he might come back for his senior year with the coaching chsnge.

Nothing like writing off a team after one scrimmage..which it seems none of you saw! Maybe you should give them a chance to play a few games before you pronounce them dead. But what's the point if it's in the Boone County water supply..right PP1?

Ryle lost by 16. Game hovered between 8 and 12 until last couple minutes. Newcath hit 12 3's to Ryle's 5. Ryle looked much more energized than they did last year...kids buying in to new coaching staff.

I posted his stats from last year above. I strongly doubt he has been one of the top ten players in the state at any point since 8th grade. Definitely a good player. Not in the top ten in the 9th region. And if he isn't in the top ten in the 9th region I don't think he is in the top ten in the state ... just saying. Plus the poster just said Jefferson and didn't even mention the school. And one more point - take note of PP1's asterisk and comment about the "top ten" players named. Thanks for all of the "dislikes". I may have overreacted to the "don't know who they are" reply but I feel compelled to educate those that do no know them . Both of these kids are stars and have overcome serious injuries. Caleb Jefferson is one of the best wide receivers in the state this year. In basketball he owns the floor...just watch him...eat some popcorn and watch him. Kevin Centers has played his role in Coach Sully's program..maybe not so much in stats..maybe defense..maybe leadership..winning..he has starred for the Kentucky Defenders AAU program until he tore his ACL early this spring. He has fought every day to get back. I am told he will be a force. Kevin is a tough kid. Go tell him you don't believe in him and see what happens. ANYONE who has followed this class of kids knows both of them....and knows their heart...and knows that they will take any dismissal of them as fuel to their fire...So, to that end...on their behalf...Thank you!

Caleb Jefferson has been ranked as one of the top players in the state for his grade since 6th grade. He started varsity for Beechwood in 8th grade. Caleb transferred to Newcath where he was one of best guards in region last year. To "not know who he is" may speak to the credibility of this report...just saying.

Enough said.

New Bball coach..great hire..new A.D. hired after that...Freshmen best in NKY..time for new A.D. to step up..if he can find a young football coach to parallel the Belcher hire then could change the entire culture.
