Went to walts hitching post at the bottom of Kyles lane the other night. Had the fried shrimp and ribs. The shrimp were very good as well as that great rye bread. The ribs were not very meaty and definitely not fall off the bone. Brought most of them home and the next night coated them with brown sugar, honey, and butter, wrapped them in foil, then baked them at 250 for about an hour. Definite improvement on the texture and taste!

You can take a small soft-sided cooler into Reds games with unopened drinks in plastic bottles. We take in soft drinks/sports drinks and our own snacks. Makes it much cheaper than paying $5+ each for a brat and coke.

Another golf pet peeve....please let faster players play through when there is space in front of you. I hate it when you continually drive up m finishing a hole and the group in front of you is just teeing off on a par 4/5 on there is no one on the green. After a couple holes of this, we drive on by to the next hole and can play it twice before they finish the hole we skipped.

A little correction... my crush was Tracy Needham and she was the 2nd Paige. Also had it for Kelly Martin... a double bonus while watching the show.

Had a huge crush on the girl who played Paige on Life Goes On (I think that's the show...had the Down Syndrome character Corky on it also). There were 2 Paige actresses over the course of the show and she was the first. I can't find her name or pic to save me. Alexa tells me one name, Tracy Needham...hmmmmm.

Almost had my 1st hole in one while playing Aston Oaks Sunday. On the last par 3 it lipped the hole and stopped less than 3 feet away behind the hole.

Those are most likely cicada killers. They will not bother you unless you provoke them. Typically Twin Oaks in Latonia on the par 5 on the front nine has a bunch of them around the green making burrows and flying around. Twin Oaks posts signs about them around the green so you don't totally freak out.

He is really coming on since staying on the right handed side of the plate. Switch hitting was killing him.

Just got back from Pennsylvania and saw eagle rare for $27. Normally about $30 here in NKY when you find it. Bought a bottle of Henry McKenna bottled in bond 100 proof that is hard to find here also. Nice choice since it is also a single barrel. Can't beat that for the price of $28. Didn't see any other bourbons up there that aren't also here. Surprisingly didn't see any Barton, but plenty of Buffalo Trace.
