Not such a surprise with the win; but the score makes this one a bit of a shocker.....and it wasn't this close. Jacob Hobbs goes for 19 and 16 rebs. He had about 6 block shots and absolutely dominated this game on both ends of the court.

Anthony Witherspoon is no longer with the team. I don't know the exacts behind why he isn't but he will not be playing again for JH.

At this time of the year, its all about the grind. Take a look at some of these scores. Without a shot clock if you don't have some dogs on your team with some size; opponents will grind you out. I think this is where Spencer got in trouble this year, and they're gonna have to find a way to fix it next year.

Nothing pretty here to see. Survive and advance. A couple of observations: 1. We need a shot clock....period 2. The way North Hardin approached and played this game set bball back 20 years. 3. Refer back to number one.

Typically the 5th seed is Fort Knox so that play in game can get ugly. But after that game the district is always a dogfight. There are no easy games between the top 4 teams. Heck I wish we could play some of the teams I see across the state in the 1st round of districts. A lot of teams have an automatic trip to the regions every year.

I agree with you in that stats don't always tell the whole story....but this is where the slope gets slippery in my opinion. Because it seems like everyone has their own set of factors that determines who should win these postseason awards. I think they got this one right though....it would be a shame for both of the guys to not be awarded for their accomplishments this season.

Even more so, as funny as this might sound but Rhodes playing the point was able to dictate the pace of the game. He was also able to go down low and score in the post. they may not beat SC, but it ludicrous to just give the champ to SC at this point.

Chemistry on the court is one of the most underrated qualities of a team at this time of the year. Because every possession counts, it's difficult to have all that turnover and uncertainty and still make a deep run. You can beat the inferior teams, but any team that is on your level will be difficult to beat.

I feel so bad for Lex Cath. No dog in the fight but man that is a tough way to lose a game. Someone said it best; that one will sting for awhile.

Earlier this year they were playing SC very tough in SC I might add, before Rhodes got hurt. It is playoff time and I'm telling you anything can happen at this time of the year.

DC played John Hardin very tough, but Malik Wright and Aaron Scott were benched 2 mins into the game and didn't return. Seemed to be for disciplinary reasons.....again DC played very hard and very good, but JH was shorthanded also.

Yes, but some systems fit other kids better. This system is perfect for CJ's skill set. A ton of screens from some very good players. Everyone on his team has to be accounted for. It's difficult to double team this group.

CJ is a very good player that benefits from being surrounded by other very good players and a system built perfectly for him. He's not as good as his supporters think but he's not as bad as his detractors would suggest.....but somewhere in the middle. Watching the game last night I was much more impressed by his team. A.J. makes them something different on a different level defensively.

FC is stumbling to the finish line. I still think they're very dangerous

When I hear stuff like Trevon Faulkner and CJ Frederick are the clear favorites; it really makes me wonder about this process. It's gotta be political to a degree. Neither of their numbers are eye popping and spare me the CJ has played top competition nonsense. He also plays on a loaded team with two other D1 ball players....one that happens to be 7ft tall. Trevon is all that and a bag of chips but his numbers are on par with alot of others on the list. So, what makes these two so much better and the "clear" favorites.

My point is for us to just let the kids enjoy whatever award this is. If it came from the Kellogg Corp or the Association of xyz, it's still an honor. This will all wash out in the end, we kinda know who the Mr. Bball candidates will be and i'm fairly sure Kunk and CJ will be in the mix. I was told that coaches in the organization (and all aren't apparently) submitted votes and you can't vote for your own player.
