  1. They kind of deliberately addressed it early on and got away from it, because Robert Kirkman has said the story isn't about finding a cure. I think the idea is that society has collapsed too far at this point for any semblance of the government/military that existed before to do anything. The fact that we watched the CDC explode in the first season was both literal and symbolic evidence of this collapse. The unraveling of Eugene's story added even more to this idea. Also, if you watch the sister series Fear the Walking Dead you get to see on screen how quickly government and military control unraveled during this thing. And in Fear there was a very quick, but important scene to TWD universe as a wholewhich revealed that the whole world is like this. That being said it's entirely possible the story has gone that route in the comics (I'm not a comic reader) or will go that route at some point in the future.
  2. Though I'm a fan of most of them, Halloween will always be my favorite. I was probably a little too obsessed with Halloween when I was a kid/teenager. I think I dressed as Michael Myers like 5 different times. The theme song (although not really a song and more like 3 notes played over and over) was my ringtone for a solid two years in middle school.
  3. Ah someone else has been watching The Good Doctor I see. I thought that was a pretty good quote as well. To answer the question though, I think it would depend on the situation and people involved but I've always gotten over things quickly so far. If it's a friend and a forgivable offense for which they apologize then I feel if I'm holding a grudge then I'm now the one in the wrong. They apologized and I should be man enough to accept it and move on. I could imagine scenarios where an apology isn't enough, but fortunately for me nothing like that has ever happened.
  4. You can blame the ban on kegs for the shift from Beast to Natty. That being said Natty Light will bring me back to the Ghetto in my mind for the rest of my life so it'll get my vote every time.
  5. That "apology" is just awful. Using these disgusting allegations as an opportunity to officially come out just adds fuel to the bigoted fire that burns in some people who like to paint homosexuality with the same brush as pedophilia.
  6. I think these last two episodes would have been vastly improved if they had done just like a one minute rundown of what the plan was ahead of time for the audience. Without knowing what the end game of each little mission is (besides kill them all) it makes it hard to appreciate what's happening. For example, I had no idea why that one guy getting away from Ezekiel's group mattered in the slightest. He was going to tip off the next stop? Surely they had already been tipped off by any one of the other groups that were already under attack. Unless maybe that was happening in a slightly different timeline than the rest of them. I don't know.
  7. Hmm that is an interesting point, and one that I would have to think on for a little bit before forming an opinion. My initial gut response is that there is a difference, but I can't immediately formulate why.
  8. I understand your point, and I don't disagree on the facts necessarily. More surveillance would almost certainly decrease crime in that area, but I stand by my belief that it is a slippery slope that makes me personally feel uneasy. I don't know what you do for a living, but I assume it's a privately owned company and not a government agency and if that's the case I absolutely support the use of cameras by private businesses. Once the government gets involved though it's a whole new beast. To paraphrase and use for my own personal agenda an already frequently bastardized Ben Franklin quote, "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither".
  9. Boy, do I have a book that you would absolutely love! That is a slippery slope right there.
  10. Well I would think for 4 of those lawyers their case is pretty easy. There weren't 5 sets of hands on that rock. You get your client to testify against the one who threw it and plea this thing down to something that can salvage a relatively normal life for your client.
  11. I don't know if that question was posed to me or just in general. If it was to me, I don't think there were multiple shooters. I think there were more people involved or an accomplice of some kind; someone who either assisted him or encouraged/supplied/funded him to do this. I agree that the multiple shooter thing is nonsense because that would take eyewitness and video suppression of hundreds of civilians. It's just not feasible. I don't think this is a conspiracy. In general there are very few conspiracy theories that I think are even in the realm of reality, let alone likely. I don't think it's a conspiracy theory to believe there's more to the story than what we've been told so far.
  12. Ah gotcha. That would make sense. Thanks
  13. I never said that. All I said is they're withholding information from the public.
  14. It's been a few years since I've seen any of the Saw's, but isn't Jigsaw dead as well as his assistant? Who could possibly be the bad guy in this one?
  15. As much as I'd like it to be Greeny to knock him off his holier than thou pedestal, it seems highly unlikely. He's too high profile to allow himself to be seen out at a strip club. My guess it's some executives, not on-air people.
  16. They would, but having the zombies as the main threat can hold your attention for a 2 hour movie but probably not 10+ seasons of a television show. They had to figure out a way to make the zombies part of the periphery and not front and center every week.
  17. The production is intentionally a little fuzzy on the timeline of things in order to avoid conflicts. I don't think they've ever given a firm answer on this, but Judith's age is the best estimator because Lori was pregnant within a few months of it starting. I think "a few years" is the closest thing to an answer I've ever read and that seems about right with Judith's growth both pre and post natal. Ignore the fact that Carl has aged 8 years. Not a whole lot they can do about that I guess.
  18. Different showrunner then than there is now. The original showrunner allowed the zombies to have a certain level of cognition that the subsequent seasons don't. They also climbed fences and used rocks to smash windows in the early seasons too.
  19. My suspicion that there's more people involved has nothing to do with the fact that the investigation is still ongoing. I agree that even if he did act alone it would absolutely take a long time to complete such a large investigation. To me its the fact that there is a lack of transparency in the investigation to the general public. If he truly acted alone there is no reason not to update the public on the case as they go. As I said before, it's not as if there's a trial they would be compromising by releasing information.
  20. Not to sound snarky, but if I knew what they were withholding it wouldn't be withheld haha. But some things that they certainly have are video footage for starters. It's Las Vegas, possibly the most surveilled city in country, and there hasn't been footage released of him in the days, hours, and minutes leading up to the shooting. Financials are another biggie that typically provide a lot of insight. Other than him being a high roller in the casino we've been told nothing of how he accumulated his wealth or how he spent his money. Clarity on the ever changing timeline of events that night, which surely was the first thing they worked out in the days immediately following. Some of the only substantive information that has been released was leaked pictures of the the shooter's suite which wasn't even supposed to be released.
  21. Because almost nothing has been revealed to the public. The only other alternative is that they have found nothing out in all this time, but with several law enforcement agencies all working on this including the FBI that seems very unlikely.
  22. It is certainly suspicious that three weeks later we still have hardly any more information. I do not believe there is some giant government conspiracy. I do however believe there is more to this story and perhaps more than just one person involved. Not a second a shooter, but an accomplice of some kind. If the alleged lone gunman who did this entirely on his own is dead then there is no reason to withhold all the information for so long from the public, because there is no impending trial that would be compromised.
  23. I've seen this World Wide Wes guy mentioned several times. Pardon my ignorance, but who is he exactly? An agent or something?
  24. Ah gotcha. Wow that is really unfortunate for them.
