I like how the author just casually slips in that he was arrested for exposing himself to children in the final sentence. That kind of makes you read the rest of the article in a different light.

I went to 16 years of Catholic school and I don't ever remember learning that it was against "Catholic values" for boys and girls to play basketball together. I could see at an older age group you might have some safety concerns, but at 12 I don't see what the issue would have been with letting her play.
