  1. There is judgment by the stat keeper involved too. That is why I used the term "Basketball Move". One dribble off a catch does not always negate an assist. Say a player is cutting to the basket and the passer throws him the ball, he takes a dribble on the run and scores, it is an assist. There actually is no clear cut "rule" on assist on any level. Some coaches over report assists. I have seen players credited with assists by coaches for some pretty stange things, but what you describe is definitely an assist.
  2. It depends on what the player who receives the ball has to do to score. If he receives the ball and has to make a "basketball move" to score, no assist. If he catches it and shoots, then the passer receives an assist.
  3. Is there a bigger Drama Queen in professional sports? signed, The anti-steelers fan
  4. Closed practices are a great idea! Better Idea! Crying Room! Just like church, only neither side can hear either side. Now that would be great just think about it!
  5. Why--Just because you don't like a school means you pick against them all the time:lol: I'll go with Beechwood. I would like to see a Beechwood/Campbell County Final.
  6. ...and this my friends explains the change in Beechwood basketball. The AD was there. Next thing you know the football supporters will be at the BB games!!
  7. Beechwood only added 1 Footballer and that is Joe Daniels.
  8. Oh No! The Beechie Bashers are going to come after you now!!! Seriously a case could be made for The Tigers being 2/3, ask Dave Henley. Beechwood will cause match up problems for a lot of teams.
  9. end of 1st-Beechwood 25 Ashland 12 Half Beechwood 44 Ashland 28
  10. As long as they are in DIII they are not going to beat these teams. That is why they need to move out of it or the scheduling rules need to change to help all DIII schools be competitive.
  11. It hurts all DIII teams to play each other twice, not just Beechwood. Some coaches are just satisfied with being competitive within their own schedules and it does make scheduling easier. Better question is... why does Beechwood drive past Ludlow[geographically) and Ludlow drive past Beechwood to play their District games?
  12. So are you talking about "All A" schools or DIII NKAC?
