Details? Was this their first game? I know last years frosh team was weak. Do tell about this years team. Is Beechwood finally building a competitive BB program to match the Football and Baseball Programs?:thumb:

BW has a nice freshman class and I hear there are a few more coming up behind them.

 

One of the strong frosh is related to Noel Rash - very good looking athlete.

 

I think basketball at BW is not far away from being more respectable on both sides of the gym - boys and girls. Good coaches. Good young talent.

Nice win for the Beechies against a much bigger outfit. That is a strong class as was represented on the football field.

What a difference a year can make. Last year Ryle defeated Beechwoods freshman 65-5.

I heard BW cancelled the Frosh game vs. Dayton due to lack of players who were yet to be released from Football. Anyone know anything?

Uphill seems to be in the know at Dayton, if he makes a statement Im sure it can be supported. Im sure it wasnt a blatant snub and hopefully the game with Dayton gets rescheduled.

Who said it was a snub? Just trying to explain the reason they would play Ryle and not Dayton.

From what I understand they are currently playing games when it does not conflict with Football. They have had to cancel a number of other games as well. Not a snub against Dayton at all, just trying to balance finishing off a State Championship run and starting a basketball season.
