I just don't think SK has faced a defense the caliber of Trinity's. If they have I'd like to know who they were. By the same token I don't think SK has faced an offense as explosive as Trinity and they've given up a lot of points. I can see emotion and excitement leading to an early score for SK but excitement and emotion can only carry a team so far.

I see this one kind of like a couple of years ago when Trinity played Dixie Heights in Bowling Green. Dixie was a very good team, beat most if not all comers up north and rolled into BG with a ton of confidence. I can see Simon Kenton scoring on their fist drive like Dixie but but then I think Trinity's D takes over and shuts them down. I don't see any way SK can contain Trinity's offense. Ryle rolled them and Trinity is head and shoulders better then Ryle. Prediction, 45-14 with SK leading at one point 7-0 then scoring late after the running clock has started and Trinity plays their 2s and 3s.

You obviously didn't see the 6A championship game last year. That crew was obviously in over their heads and out of their league from the outset.

The people that just seem to think all these facilities are just going to welcome the extra game are a bit misguided.

I have no issue with adding officials but I wish they would have added a center judge like they have in college. Another set of eyes behind the offense to help clean up line play.

I don't understand the need for a comparison to Ohio. Let's speak in hypotheticals for a second. Had McCracken won 2 more games they would have hosted the winner of Trinity/Simon Kenton next Friday. Can someone please tell me a turf field anywhere halfway between Paducah and either St. Matthews or Independence? As it stands either Central Hardin or Daviess Co. will now host that game. Same question. Tell me a turf field that is halfway between either any of those schools. The bottom line to me is that championship caliber teams will find a way to win regardless of where games are played. If there's this much concern over teams traveling for semi-finals then surely it would also stand to reason that no one should have an advantage of playing in their home city for the championship game, so in years that there is a Lexington area school in any of the championship games, should the games be moved to a "fairer" location?

No. Schools playing lose money. KHSAA gets no money before finals. Teams playing split the gate after expenses.

The dumbest thing about Bylaw 9 is that it only applies to football and basketball.

The same offended fan from the first thread also took offense that someone from Trinity standing along the fence talked to a player from Campbell County. Is that same person going to try to maintain that if the visiting team's bench is in front of home team fans that nothing is ever said to or about the visiting players? Seems just a bit hypocritical to me.

My 2 cents is that what was said at Trinity is no worse then what happens at many stadiums when the PA guys are unabashed cheerleaders for the home team. I just looked at a satellite photo of the Campbell County football facility and I notice stands on only 1 side of the field. On Friday night which team is on the bench in front of the stands?

Don’t you think this may be a bit of a stretch? How many teams do you REALLY believe consider the possibility of a 3 way tie when scheduling? Has a 3 or 4 seed ever won a championship?

Trinity 2011. Undefeated and “national champions”. I can think of 5 guys without trying hard that signed scholarships with D1 programs.

What would be considered Simon Kenton’s “signature” wins this season? I know Trinity has a win over Carmel who’s in the semifinals of Indiana’s big school division and Champagnat Catholic from Florida who opened their playoffs with a big win last week.
