  1. It would be nice if there were a 10th region officiating crew who didn't cater to Jake Ohmer.
  2. Won handily? Never really threatened? Is that better than "cruised". The lead was cut to 10 points for a possession or two. Other than that, the lead hovered around 13-16 most of the game. So, there was not a running clock, and the game was not a complete blowout. But, the game was not close either, and never in doubt.
  3. This is all on the other thread. CJ is a fine player who missed a lot of games this year. Can't we just be happy for the kids who made the list, especially the seniors?
  4. Bishop Brossart could upset Scott tomorrow night in the 37th. Scott beat them in the regular season by 15, but the game was close into the 4th quarter.
  5. I'm happy for all who made this list, especially the 10th region kids: Bertsch, Hegyi, and Ohmer. Since it's mostly 9th region schools, the 10th region schools/players that are in the NKBBCA sometimes get overlooked.
  6. CC (26-4) - Hegyi 7 0 15, R. Jolly 2 0 5, Clos 4 0 8, Day 3 2 8, Bertsch 6 8 21, Russell 2 1 5, Geiman 4 0 8. Totals: 28 11 70 Ryle - Cheeseman 6 3 18, Polk 3 3 9, Puthoff 1 0 3, O'Hara 2 1 6, McDaniel 3 1 7, Rankin 5 2 12, Demler 0 1 1, Webster 1 0 2. Totals: 21 11 58. Halftime: CC 33-25. 3-pointers: CC 3 (Hegyi, R. Jolly, Bertsch); R 5 (Cheeseman 3, O’Hara, Puthoff).
  7. Teams CC has played this year: Franklin Bullitt East Highlands Mason Co Mercer Co Simon Kenton Holmes Murray Sacred Heart
  8. Wow...way closer than expected. Does anyone have details?
  9. The Camels were up by 20+ in the 4th quarter when Coach Russell subbed out the starters. Boone hit some shots late and the Camel JV players didn't take care of the ball.
  10. Nice job, as always, mcpapa. If Campbell brings it the way they did against Cooper, no one in the 10th will beat them.
  11. Heck of a game. Fun to watch with great atmosphere on senior night at CC. The Camels played their butts off tonight and proved they can play with anyone. Bertsch and Hegyi each had 23 to lead the Camels.
  12. Campbell will be fine and is still the favorite in the 10th. They need games like last night to test them and learn and grow from to be prepared for tourney time.
  13. There is no better combo than Bertsch and Hegyi in the 10th. Also, Clos was fantastic this evening, kid plays hard. As a team, the Camels had 23 assists tonight. Excellent team basketball.
  14. Bourbon came to play and gave the Camels all they could handle especially in the first half. CC pulled away in the second half with a strong performance from Cole Hegyi. Garren Bertsch came alive in the second half and Tanner Clos was outstanding with several key defensive plays and baskets to spark the Camel run.
  15. Are you serious, Clark? I never said I was sick of hearing about the 9th...and I was referencing this year.
  16. I'm sick of hearing that the 10th isn't good. Yes, after Campbell and Scott there is a drop off, but what about the 9th? (I'm assuming you're a 9th region person.) After CCH and Cooper what is left in the 9th? Maybe you could make an argument for Dixie...so is the 9th any good?
  17. This game was closer than the final outcome. CC was up by 1 after the first and down 8 at the half. They stayed within 10-12 throughout most of the second half and kept fighting. Cov Cath's defense was relentless the entire game. Prior to this game, Campbell Co had won 16 straight. No time to rest for the Camels as they take on Montgomery Co tonight at home.
  18. Great job, Camels. Congrats to Garren Bertsch on the game winner and Cole Hegyi on scoring his 1,000! Both were nkysports.com players of the game.
  19. Coach Russell played 11 guys throughout the game, including the first half. Are you saying the starters should sit the entire 4th quarter when up by 20? That's crazy. You've got to keep your studs conditioned and in game shape.
  20. That makes 15 in a row for the Camels. They now stand at 17-1 with a big game at Scott this Fri. Bring it, Ravishing Rick Rude.
  21. Rick Rude: love how you start with "Not hating on the Camels..." and then you always hate on the Camels. Go work on your mullet.
