District Upsets?!

Anyone anticipate an upset in their respective District tournament to keep a team that everyone expects to make it to Region? If so lets hear them!

I don't think there is a potential upset in the 32nd. Either team could win any of the three games and no one would consider it an upset, though players and fans would undoubtedly be upset.

I'm looking forward to tonight's games in the 28th. In the first game, Ballard, who will be without Coach Renner, is taking on Kentucky Country Day. The Mathis cousins have been playing extremely well for KCD. Earlier in the year, Ballard beat KCD 84-71. I expect Ballard to prevail once again, but it is not outside the realm of possibility that KCD will win.

 

In the second game, Eastern takes on Christian Academy of Louisville. CAL won 65-53 when the teams played on February 3. I don't think either team winning would be an upset, but it should be a good game for a district tournament semi-final.

Renner or not, KCD has zero chance of beating Ballard. I predict a running clock.

saw on KHSAA where in the 1st district Fulton Co. "upset" Carlisle Co.

 

All four teams in the district were separated by a few points in the Kentucky.com ratings. Seems to be a competitive district.

Bishop Brossart could upset Scott tomorrow night in the 37th. Scott beat them in the regular season by 15, but the game was close into the 4th quarter.

Possible upset in Williamstown tonight as #1 seed Walton Verona takes on #4 seed Simon Kenton.

You're absolutely correct. This would be the equivalent of a 16 beating a 1 in the NCAA tournament.

My pick is N. Oldham over South.

Simon Kenton over Walton but not sure if that is an upset.

While North Laurel and Clay Co. won't meet until the district finals, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Tigers beat the Jaguars.

 

Also, Whitley Co. has played both Corbin and South Laurel tough, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Colonels give Corbin a tough go in tonight's opening-round game.

#4 Simon Kenton defeated #1 Walton-Verona by 10 earlier this season, in the 32nd. That could be an upset, I don't know if I'd really call it that tho that District is pretty wide open, But based on seeding it'll be an upset if SK beats them.

In th 38th district 4 win Harrison Co upset district favorite Pendleton Co last night in Cynthiana. Don't think many saw that coming

UHA could upset Christian County. Anytime a top 10 team doesn't make it to region, it would be an upset.
