Score 48-13 with Dixie's scores coming against the 3rd team. Coach Marksberry doesn't leave his ones on the field long and takes them out 1 series after the running clock like he does normally.

Had a rough day. The line had some issues and there wasn't much running room for him. A lot of misdirection by Farfsing and good field position by the Pioneers put Conner in some bad spots. North will grow but just struggled today.

Nope. Boone had the money raised years ago when Shawn Alexander offered to pay for theirs. The BCSB said no because Conner wouldn't have turf. Their thinking is that if one gets it they all do. Ryle has turf because they were tricky about it. Heck, the BC schools don't even get buses to athletic events other than football. The fight will still be on even after Conner has the money.

Maybe a bit dramatic but, in this day and age, there are alternatives as proven by the moving of many games. I personally also think that Trosper is trying to make a case with the Boone County School Board to get turf for Conner at the expense of his players.

Conner plays with a 2 headed monster at QB. Hicks is the better player but only a sophomore so he doesn't get the respect he deserves. In a perfect world he plays every down.

Why did a boatload of other schools in the state move their games? Just saying. Every other NKY game played tonight was on turf.

I personally despise CovCath and everything it stands for except Catholicism but I will own up to it. They are the best in NKY, best in 5A in the state, and a top 5 team overall. I think TU beats them easily and Scott County who just made a mockery of Highlands handles them. St.X would be about a pickem. Male beats them in a close one with speed. CovCath squeaks by SK by a TD or less.

What were the weather conditions last week at the Conner/Boone game? Where was the Ryle/Boone game tonight? At Ryle on turf?

Here is the whole thing in a nutshell without being biased. Both teams had to play in the same conditions so it is what it is. The fact of the matter is that it was the weather and the Cougars vs. SK. The weather was definitely the great equalizer. It was impossible for Shearer to throw the ball around. Not just because of the footing but the grip on the ball as well. Conner attempted more passes because they had to but their QB was flinging wounded ducks up there because he couldn't grip the ball either. SK's oline and defense won the game in the trenches. That's the way it had to be. Is Conner that good? I don't know. Is SK only 7 points better than Conner. Absolutely not!! I can only speculate but if this game is played on a dry field I say SK's passing game wins this by at least 3 touchdowns. I guess we won't know unless they meet in the playoffs somewhere. I would say that this game should never have been played. I think Trosper played it because he saw the rain and mud as an equalizer. He was right but also very arrogant and selfish. Football is a tough sport as it is. He put players from both teams in danger of catastrophic injury tonight because of his arrogance. This game should've been moved to last night or tomorrow at SK. Regardless, a win is a win and, in the grand scheme of things, it is a meaningless win because the district is all that matters. Good luck to the Cougars the rest of the way. I hope both teams made it out without any traumatic losses due to injury. I know both teams are banged up after tonight. I hope Trosper is happy with the result.

Leave SK out of this. I don't believe that your friend there speaks for or has anything to do with SK. Ryle is not very good right now so we will see how things shake out but I do agree. "Trash" is a very strong word that shouldn't be used to describe a bunch of high school kids playing football. You can attack the poster but leave the kids and teams out of it.

I guess Tricia Macke reporting on the Highlands baseball incident from a few years ago is now long forgotten. I heard rumors that they were casually asked to not attend Highlands and her kids were given all kinds of grief because Tricia severely disparaged the school. Don't know if this is true or not.
