Does anyone have a list of DC's available? Here are the names I believe are DCs in Campbell county. Winrich DC/HC Sphire DC/HC Meadows DC Trimnell DC And I think Wiggins might be calling the defense as well as Hc at Newport

I agree with statement. If I'm a parent of a future Scott player I'm hoping they hire a guy maybe a little younger a little hungrier to prove themselves. That's gonna stay around for a while and see those next 5-8 maybe 10 years out. Whoever takes this job probably needs to understand winning might be secondary to building their culture and standards in those early years. Glad too see Perrin and Trimnell were on the list if that is in fact true.

They really missed the mark when they passed on hiring Bert Bathiany. A Highlands grad who wanted the job, knew the culture, and understood exactly what Highlands football is supposed to look like and now he’s at Moeller surrounded by Division I talent. That ship seems to have sailed, and it feels like a major lost opportunity. So the question becomes: is it time to make a move? Why not look at someone like Dan Court at Boone County or Coach Weyer at Beechwood or even Coach Lickert at NewCath? Guys who truly understand what Highlands Football was under Coach Dale Mueller, the culture he built, and the level of accountability and pride that program was built on for years. And honestly, they’d probably do the job for a lot less than what’s being paid right now. Maybe that’s something only people who lived through that era fully understand. I’m not a Highlands guy myself, but I know plenty of the players from the late ’90s and early 2000s, and they would love to see one of their own back on the sidelines, setting the tone the way it used to be. All of this is said somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but the real question still stands: How many more times are we going to hear that this team is “state championship good,” only to lose decisively in the third or fourth round?

I am told he's the guy as long as he wants to be the guy! Without giving away too much personal information there has been a development in which he would be invested deeply for at least the immediate future past this year.

I would lean towards Newcath in what might end up being a bit of a run away. For the majority of the game last week it seemed like bellevue was never really out of it until the midway into the 4th. A blown Coverage a bad punt attempt that was scooped up inside what the 10 really put that one away. not to mention a first half int that helped Brossart start a drive inside the 5. Wasn't able to make the Newcath Trimble or the Newcath vs Bellevue game a few weeks ago but from what my kids told me Newcath had no problems with either of two getting early running clocks. So Give me the Breds.

If the search committee is looking for a young, proven leader to take on a challenge, Coach Trimnell down at Bellevue fits that description perfectly. In his mid-30s, Trimnell he’s spent the last 12 years building his reputation. He spent five years at Newcath, a part of the staff that went to Two state semi finals and 4 regional finals . Over the past three years, Trimnell has been the DC at bellevue the last 3 years, Coach 100% played a key role in what can only be described as a complete program revival. When he arrived, the Tigers had not fielded a team for the duration of a full season in the three seasons prior. In his first year, the team went 4-6, followed by back to back 500 seasons, marking steady improvement each year. According to KHSAA, Bellevue’s defense under Trimnell bellevue has ranked among the top in several defensive categories, which just proves his ability to build and sustain competitive units even during a rebuild. Beyond the results, Trimnell has been a driving force in restoring pride and purpose within the Bellevue football community. He is always active in feeder programs, visible in the community, and seems pretty committed to the growth of his players both on and off the field. Coach Trimnell is the kind of candidate that will probably filling out a lot of applications if has many jobs open as some think will be. Dudes young enough but proven assistant with strong local ties, the ability to surround himself with experienced staff, and a genuine investment in community engagement and player development. His track record at NewCath and Bellevue defiantly says that he not only understands what a successful program looks like, but also how to build one from the ground up.

Bellevue comes off the bye after beating Ludlow. Bellevue started a freshmen Qb for the second week in a row. Not sure the status of #4 this week he had been battling some injury issues since earlier this season I was told and hasn't really played since the St. Henry game. If he comes back I would say that changes somethings for Bellevue. Dayton has Scored a ton of points in their wins this year and Bellevue hasn't allowed a ton of points in their wins just from what I've seen from looking at scores on Friday nights. Dayton lost Friday to Iroquois a team Bellevue beat a few weeks ago 31-0. Bellevue has a win over St.Henry who's just put it on their last two opponents ( Owen & Gallatin) who both beat Dayton this year. However Dayton scored 62 on Pendleton County and won by 13. Bellevue lost to Pendleton by 2 but also didn't have several key starters that week according to a Facebook post I saw from coach Montgomery. With all that said none of that matters in this game. I wouldn't be shocked if this game was won in overtime or the last possession of the game.

I believe rjs is spot on. I was told 4 Dline players that have all started at one point did not play due to injuries. And with an already small team that has to be a factor. Not to mention those 3 Dline players probably played every snap on offense.

This one is gonna surprise some people. I think Boone is in the game all night. Coach Court has his boys playing well early on this season. "IF" the Breds get it going on offense this week we might see some really exciting football Friday night

I’d imagine Bellevue will lean on their run game to slow things down and control the clock. Pendleton and Bellevue both lost to Nicholas County, but in different ways. Pendleton fell 38–0 in Week 1, Bellevue dropped last week’s game 26–6. That game was tied 6–6 late in the third before Nicholas County scored 14 points in the fourth to put it away. Looking at Bellevue’s defense, they had 7 takeaways in Week 1, 5 of them interceptions, and followed that up with 2 more takeaways last week. If Bellevue can limit the big plays Pendleton was able to hit last week against Dayton, I’d give the edge to Bellevue

And to add to your post game thread mustang. I disagree. I think with tonight’s dominating performance and and a new football stadium. This year has set Brossart football back years. You said they were closing the gap and would take over. And regardless of an early interception it wasn’t close.

Boone has hired Dan court as their next Head Coach. Coach Court is a 2008 Graduate of Highlands High school, During his time at Highlands Coach Court Won 2 state titles as a player. Coach Court would later spend 8 season as an assistant under coaches Dale Muller and Brian Weinrich, during his time as an assistant at highlands he would reach 5 state title games winning 4. He Would leave Highlands and Join coach Lickert's staff in 2018 at Newport central Catholic. Reaching 4 regional finals and 2state semifinals with the Breds before becoming the DC at Scott High school. Coach Court is currently the PE teacher at Boone county High school. I am told Coach Court and his family look forward representing Boone County High School and the community with Integrity, dedication and with a pursuit of excellence
