If memory serves the loss in 93' was to Augusta in one of the most heated rivalry games I have ever seen boys or girls.

Spencer shot more 3’s than 2’s. Anderson spread the floor and drove the ball in both games. Common sense says when you attack the goal you get fouls... Now Collins game... AC shot 7 free throws in last 2 mins due to fouling by Collins trying to catch up. We probably need to give AC kids credit for executing a perfect game plan instead of saying the refs have it to them.

Coach L is one of the finest men I have ever met. I hope he enjoys his retirement and wish nothing but the best for him.

If during the week is scraps then that is what the boys get every year. Thanks for making my point.

My criteria are play the finals if not the semi finals and finals on the weekend. It worked for years. Go look up the schedule. Easy.

Keep telling yourself that its about dates and location, just wrong. Have the tournament finals on the weekend, it's a no brainer. The system wasn't broke there was no reason to try to fix it.

Working a schedule out to where they could both play on a weekend is amazingly simple. If it weren't PC then why quit alternating it??? As a Coach and having played I can assure you Finishing the Regional Tournament during the week is a real shame for boys or girls.

Let me tell you who doesn't love them on Monday and Tuesday, the players and coaches. The players get up and go to school, don't celebrate or reflect on the end of the season or your career. They're not robots they're kids who are laying it on the line and because of PC Oscar Mayer Bologna they can't have the biggest games of their lives on a weekend??? Give me a break.

To not have Boys Regional Finals on Friday or Saturday night is a crime, Period. In a state that puts so much emphasis on winning the regional tournament and advancing to play in Rupp Arena. SAD:no:

The Broadcast was top notch. Mike and Jason were insightful, funny, knew the players, and didn't over talk. A lot of broadcasters that make way more money to commentate games could take lessons. Thanks guys.

Any chance you would elaborate with examples about Coach Parsley. He was a mentor and Coach to my Father and Grandfather along with countless other family members most of which were very successful playing and then later coaching at BC.

3 players from WV in the top 7 and AC is ranked #1??? Maybe a couple guys from WV/AC are overvalued/undervalued on this list??? How else can you explain the rankings??? Can't wait for this matchup, hopefully we'll get to see these 2 play in the regular season and post season. Based on last years 8th region threads I thought Spencer County would be way higher.

The 1944 team was undefeated through the regular season and post season and favored to win the state tournament which would have been 2 in 6 years for the Brooksville Bears. They featured 2 players that went on to play at UK, A. Cummins as mentioned above and Clyde Cooper.

That seems to be what people are forgetting. Cobe isn't by his self. Gritton and Pittman have both won 2 districts and played in 2 straight regional finals as well. Both were major factors in AC post season run the previous 2 years.

Not having Regional Semis and Finals on Friday and Saturday nights for Boys Basketball should be a crime. It's not fair to the players to play back to back during the week, get up and go to school, then come back and play the next night. Growing up going to The Fieldhouse for final 4 weekend was awesome now that I am in the 8th Region going to The Roy for the weekend should be the same thrill for my kids.
