Don't believe you had to on this one. Sounds like a typical good 1A team vs a good 4A team! Can't stay near as fresh as a 4A down the stretch but if you have enough talent and toughness you can hang and possibly prevail! Not saying Russellville isn't a great 1A football team but make no mistake! The 1A title WILL remain in the EAST For yet another year! Even though Beechwood will make it awful tough in BG!

It should be a good game but it won't be! Just like Tmh55 said, just because the Rams dropped their last 2, doesn't mean their slipping! Raceland is high level 1A team this season and my prediction is Raceland by close to 3 TD's! BB best chance is to air it out because Raceland will not allow them to Run the ball with much success! Their D line is for real!

I agree. Kash was a a little more difficult of a runner to bring down and had more breakaway speed than Morris but Morris sees the field better as a passer and throws better. Don't want to belittle Morris's run game because he is still a big ol boy that's not easy to stop! I'd actually like to see him on Defense some like last year now that he's put on 35 more lbs. He's always been a hard hitter!

Paintsville by 3 TD's. Tigers offense more balanced than last year with more threats and Defense is just stronger than 2015 team! I know that's hard to believe, but it is suffocating on the run and stifling on the pass game! Paintsville D line is a force which will have Paris QB Running for his life all night and never being able to get comfortable.

Wow. That is nuts if they were well within FG range for the win and elected to go for the TD! Similar to kicking off on the other teams 30 after you score and NOT attempt an onside kick and decide to kick it through the uprights!

Pike County Central comes to Memorial Field Thursday Sept 29th to play the Tigers in the Annual Paintsville Apple Bowl! This is the first time in 4 weeks the Tigers return home!

I don't really think so! Top 5 or 6 are capable and top 3 or 4 have probably separated themselves a touch! Yea not any more open than some of the other classes! Seems to be a pretty solid year for 1A! Pretty much stacks up like last year! Last year same story. Top 6 or so we're capable but top 3's game was up another level!

Gonna lean towards Pikeville with this one! Hazard is a good solid team as well so I do expect it to be a close game! Be a good one to go watch and since Paintsville plays on Thursday night this week, it may be a good excuse to drive to Pikeville Friday!

Paintsville took some injuries after the Williamsburg game. At bourbon no Kent Phelps and missing starting center then D. Daniels who is one of the most disruptive guys on D for Paintsville gets put in at RB for Phelps and gets injuried early in the Bourbon game so he goes out plus one more tiger gets injured! The tigers have a couple weeks here I feel to get guys healthy hopefully. Have not heard the latest on Daniels but hopefully he's 100% by the time Raceland game rolls around! Bourbon IS a LOT better than last year when we seen them at Memorial field plus the combination of the 2 interceptions, an untimely fumble and the UNBELIVABLE amount of penalty flags thrown made it a very close ball game! When the second half begin there was a flag thrown on like 5 of the first 8 plays! Very tough to gain momentum!

Agree! Have to see if they pull through at BG! If this years team does anything short of winning a state title then it's not even a discussion! They way it's looking, a state title should be very obtainable for the 2016 Pirates but time will tell!
