Definite 5th region contender. Jackson will dominate this season. I'm looking forward to watching him play this year

Gatewood mention on yesterday that they have a transfer that he can't speak on at this moment. Any news on who this person is?

Should be a fun year; more surprising than people anticipate. BTW Nichols from Central unfortunately has a torn ACL and is out for the year from what I'm told. Tough break for a good kid. North will be all TC will want to deal with this year...mark it down lol

Bardstown may well be good; but top 3 good I don't know. The sleeper in all of this is John Hardin. Witherspoon only started the last 5 or 6 games of the season last year, they will miss him but not as much as people think. Pearson and Guillory should be ready to make the next step this year and help Matt Miller out this year. Pearson had a very good summer and has interest from numerous schools. North Hardin is a Rupp contender, I don't think they need an off night to beat TC. This is all contigent on who TC has "recruited" into town this year. Going to be very interesting

This will be alot tougher for TC this year. North Hardin will be very tough. Jackson is legit; and they only lost one starter from that team last year that played TC tough in the regionals last year. John Hardin will be very good as well; one more year for those freshman and sophomores from last year to grow up. The puzzler in this ranking is Btown. They lost some very significant players from that team last year; I don't know if they will be that strong this year. In either case; TC won't cake walk through this one this year. Looking forward to this one playing out

He came on very strong at the end of AAU this year. I think he started to figure it out a bit. Wishing him well in the upcoming season

How will Bramel fair this year. I'm really interested in his development. He was a very good inside presence during AAU this year

I think the need to change schools is case by case. Alot of times kids are forced to play positions detrimental to their growth and development at the next level. See it all the time a 6 5' kid playing in the post. If your school team allows you to perform at a decent position then stay; but if you're totally out of position...well that's something to think about. It's the nature of the beast.

Danny should be on this list...he gets a bad rep sometimes for doing too much with the ball. But his ability to get his own shot is one of his biggest attributes. Very good handle of the ball. I guess you can tell I'm a big fan....problem for him is he gets overlooked so often because of Steven

Great to see Steven and Trevon on this list. Danny surely deserves to be added. He is probably more of a playmaker than either of the two listed above. 2018 has a chance to be special in the state. Trevon will absolutely have to move from his local AAU team. Exposure, exposure, exposure

Won't be as clear cut for TC this year IMO...North Hardin and John Hardin should provide stiff competition. Don't know what or who TC's coach has brought in this year; but if they don't have an inside presence....this could be a lot more interesting than people would think. North Hardin is returning almost their entire line up with an older more experienced Tony Jackson. They gave TC all they wanted in the regionals last year. John Hardin will go as their top 3 players go (Miller, Pearson, and Guillory); but if they don't find someone to provide muscle inside it may be another long year. However, if they get someone to help on the inside they will be pretty good as well.

So if your child wants to play any sport; constantly remind them that they are only gonna be a marginal athlete. Makes little sense, kids that play sports are usually competitors....teach them to play and work hard at their craft. If hard work and dedication doesn't pay off with a college opportunity; I'm sure they've gained something from competing on a team. Teamwork, committment, dedication, etc etc etc. Most kids I've come in contact with don't have aspirations of the NBA, most want to go to college at some level and continue to play the sport they love. IMO

Should be very interesting for JH this year. Good nucleus of talent, but a couple of huge losses with Witherspoon and their point guard from last year. Miller, Pearson, and Guillory will be formidable. A couple of new kids enrolled that are now playing football; too early to see how they will help, but they have size at least. If they get help on the inside they should be near the top of the district. Could easily be a sleeper
