If they want to change their game plan because of one loss then they better start with the freshman and jv squads this year and work it in over the next few. It takes time to develop and for everyone to learn their place and position. start it early on and let the kids develop into position players instead of just football players.

Questioning the conditioning of any of the teams is a slap in the face of the players that worked their butts off in the off season to get ready. The first game of the season on a stage like Highlands home field on a night with 100 percent humidity and 85 degree weather against a team that platoons fresh players in. Give them a break. They played as hard as they could both teams did. I doubt you will find one player on any team that will admit to not giving 100 percent Friday night or Saturday.

Giving up 42 to a team with players like Lonaker, Hendrix and Jackson is usually a death sentence. Unless you put up 52!

Copper really didn't need much more time than the officials gave or they received because of injuries. That was the longest, fast paced game I have seen in a long time. Looking at the score most would think it was a track meet. There was even a three minute stoppage because of an officials injury.

I said last night that if kept his head up it would have been a great hit. He lowered his head, you could hear a good pop and see a bluebird helmet fly back. That will get called every time.

I picked up my daughter after the game and other than commenting about the tent in front of the school with catered Jimmy Johns, the size of the kids from Trinity was the main topic. My daughter said they looked as big as copper did last night. From what I saw she wasn't far off

I believe the over abundance of 6 A Schools in a limited area is going to be an issue when it comes to competing with Louisville area schools. Kids and families have a lot more choices when it comes to quality education and good football programs in Nky. Louisville area education numbers are always lower than Nky schools. When the top athletes are spread thin because of choice you are going to have a tough time competing against schools where options are limited. SK is a powerhouse in Nky and a competitor statewide but consider them as building their program when compared to Trinity. Given enough time they will catch up.

I was very impressed with the highlands o line. The blocking schemes were perfect for opening holes against a big defensive line. Plenty of room for running backs to find holes. The yards after contact was also very impressive.

I remember reading "somewhere" that "someone" thought the days of highlands hanging 50 on a class 6 A team were over.

If Hendrix would have kept his head up it would have been a great hit.

Will be probably parking at Highland Park and taking a 10 minute walk through town. Weather looks good.

I know Trinity likes taking their show on the road but good luck booking them for a parade through Indy this year !

Regular crowd shuffles in?

Every great team at some point has a not so great game. You always hope it is against a cupcake team and not someone that can play you to the wire. SK has been firing on all cylinders all year, really never missing a beat. It's not if but when time catches up with this team too. Don't get me wrong, SK could win out the rest of the year but I wouldn't be too confident about a 3 score win at this point. A 3 point victory moves them along. But the same can be said for Ryle. I think it will be one heck of a game either way. Hope eveyone stays safe. Good luck to both teams

I think a better question would be how close would the score had been without the unforced mistakes made on offense. Was it 5 or 6 int's that night?
