  1. Your equating problem student with acting up or discipline. I was not.
  2. Much in the same way that some private schools dump their problem students on the public school system??? :thumb:
  3. If the first saying you post here is true, then Westboro Baptist must be God's anointed ones sent from heaven.
  4. It saved him last year. Finishes him this year.
  5. Don't know if you recall but from about 1978 to 1982 martinsville,va was banned by their district foes because the Bulldogs had beaten them all so badly. The result was some outstanding teams were ineligible to play in the VHSL playoffs and the Bulldogs had to schedule powerful teams in other regions. They won those showdowns.
  6. Actually USC would be Number 1 All Time IMO. Mike Garrett, OJ Simpson, Anthony Davis, Ricky Bell, Charles White, Marcus Allen, Reggie Bush. You have five Heisman winners in that list and I left off a decent TB in Clarence Davis.
  7. Craig and Rozier were in the same backfield sharing time in 1982.
  8. Mike Rozier won the Heisman in 1983.
  9. I thought you told us that Death Valley doesn't win or lose ball games??? :lol2: I'm just kidding PP! :thumb:
  10. Those injuries and coaching changes hurt that dream.
  11. OU played in the Big 8 back then. Mildred was the quintessential wishbone QB
  12. David,

Looks like you guy are off to a good start this year. Hope your team keeps improving and makes a run come playoff time.

I know this is a busy time but I wanted to ask a favor if possible. I have a Great Nephew that plays on the Mercer League Texans. He is in the 4th Grade. He's a lineman. Tucker Bailey. He's number 66 I believe. I can't make any of his games because of the distance to Martinsville, VA but am told he's a natural in the trenches. If you ever make it over to one of their practices or games sometime. If you could look him up and tell him you had heard great things about him I know it would make him balloon up with confidence and be in awe. He's a great student and I'm super excited he's finding a love of football. I hope you are still coaching there when he comes up through the ranks. You are the kind of coach I would love for him to have. Good luck the rest of the season and I will be watching from afar.

    Thanks,

  13. Exactly where did I state that "out there" people aren't reacting differently. I thought this whole strain of conversation was about responses "in here." BGP.
  14. I don't disagree with that at all. But then again I have higher standards for BGP. :thumb:
  15. So do we all have to express our obvious disdain for these kinds of events even though to some (mainly me) this is a Captain Obvious moment of disgust? Did anyone here really think someone on BGP would support the actions of these idiots vs. the officer? :idunno:
  16. The picture I saw is on your link. The officer and the man are very, very close to each other. If a suspect has wheeled in gone into that stance, that close to me - I can't see any other reaction but to assume deadly force and respond in kind.
  17. I thought I saw a still frame from a bystander video that showed the man holding an object at an officer in a stance that looks like what they called a "Weapon stance." It was NOT a weapon however.
  18. Peckinpah at his greatest. Classic that should never be remade.
