It's awful from a fan perspective to have it at UK or UofL. I know WKU didn't want it anymore, but I wish they could find a more suitable stadium. Now the players may love playing at UK so maybe that's all that matters, but it stinks as a fan.

That rumor is making its way around. I even heard a couple of radio shows mention it in the last two days.

This is correct and it's a good way to tell who is going to win too.

I’m confident in saying BG is better than Corbin. I’d also like another shot at Boyle. I don’t know what would happen other than it would be a good game. But BG is playing well right now.

I haven't seen FD play which makes it really to predict a team. The best way to get a feel for a team is to watch them, not look at stats or even schedule. Going by what people have on here and others I have talked to, FD definitely is the favorite. If they have the athletes everyone says they have then BG will have problems. BG is still young and if FD has athletes that are junior and seniors that's a big difference. FD hasn't looked unbeatable in the playoffs this season so BG definitely has a chance. The Purples are playing very well and have a lot of weapons. But I am worried this could turn into a St. X like game where Bg has trouble up front. Now the Purples didn't play well at St. X, but even if they did, I don't believe they could have won. And BG hasn't faced really any athletic teams in the playoffs either. So FD has to be the favorite in my mind. But I've been wrong before. I am going: FD 28 BG 14

Father Ryan is the second best team BG had played all year to date. Anyone looking down on Father Ryan just doesn’t know anything. Period. it really wasn’t even worth responding too because of how ignorant the comment is, but since others have chimed in I did too.

My team didn’t lose. I’m not a Male or Ballard supporter. I was just pointing out how bad the officials were at the end of that game and it almost unfairly cost a team a trip to the state title game. And if you quit your officiating career over a couple of comments on a message board then that’s on you.

Negative. That’s not what I said. The officials did screw Male down on the goal line m. They clearly scored. The official was standing right there. Not to mention they told the down marker holder to put it at first down after the offsides penalty. Then after the play was over they said it was fourth down. those are two major screw ups. I’m just glad it didn’t cost the team the game cause it dang near did.

Wow. Just saw the video of the final minute. Crazy few plays there. Seems as though incompetent officials is a statewide thing. Which is sad. They completely botch what down it was after the offsides call, then screw Male out of what would probably be the game winning touchdown. But Ballard put the final game scene from “All the Right Moves” and handed the game back to Male. Unbelievable. I was glad to see Male get the win since the officials tried to screw them. But I feel for the Ballard guys too. Also as someone else pointed out, no one takes a safety in that scenario, at least on purpose. Crazy sequence there.

It’s that crappy schedule BG plays. They just don’t play those powerhouse teams in the eastern or the northern part of the state like Scott County and Southwestern does. ?

What an absolutely incredible job by BG coach Spader, the rest of the coaches and players to continue to get better each week. Prior to the season and even after the first game, I didn’t think going to the state championship game was possible with this young of a team. And to only lose two games with that schedule too. Absolutely amazing. Speaking of schedules I guess BG just needs to continue playing their crappy schedule and Scott County and a southwestern can continue to play the toughest teams in country. It’s working out for BG. As for the Southwestern fans who talked so much smack all week, along with a couple of the Scott County folks too………. “Here endith the lesson”

Wasn’t really a debate. Just one or two people who were clueless and running their mouth.

Only people who weren’t paying attention thought it was down.

Pretty quiet on here for game day. Hope everyone traveling over for the game has a safe trip. Don’t forget Somerset is on eastern time and game time is 6 pm CENTRAL. Tickets are $7 at the gate only and I haven’t heard any different. Weather looks good so hopefully that will be accurate and all rain stays away. Trip to the state finals on the line!

This is the first time Southwestern has ever made the semi-finals in football, correct? Or at least since 1998?

I think it comes down to if BG's offense is consistently playing well for most of the game. If it is, then it's game over. Now if SW's defense can make some plays, if weather is a big factor, if BG's offense struggles, dropping balls, turnovers, and leaving points off the board, then it will probably be a battle.

Early weather forecast show rain during the day and rain in the evening. Even with turf, those weather conditions favor SW and their running attack. Will be keeping an eye on the weather through the week.

Thankfully BG is a 4 quarter team too. And they have played several of those 4 quarter teams as well.

I’m not saying if they can stop it or not cause I haven’t seen SW play, BG has gotten a lot better defensively. and their offense can score points quickly.

BG is a completely different team than in that scrimmage. I was there and watched it. Plus it was a scrimmage. Also I guarantee BG has seen multiple offensive lines better than Scott County since that scrimmage too.

Definitely like Bowling Green in this one. BG will be the best team SW has played all season. SW has played a fairly weak schedule. Their best win came last week and it is a good win. BG has played three teams better than SW. Now they lost to two of them, but also beat one. BG needs to play ahead in this game. No turn overs, catch the passes and score some points and Bg should be fine. But if they come out and don’t play well or lay an egg then it’s a different story. I suspect this should be a close game so who knows, but I’m picking BG in this one.
