  1. When I was coaching at Paris in 1999, Dudley Hilton was across town at Bourbon County. One of our coaches who was at Bourbon County the year before said Hilton was renting his house for $1.00 a month. I don't know if it was true, but the coach who told me this seemed to be trustworthy.
  2. Guru asked if they had a good kicker is what that has to do with it.
  3. Is Central spending the night in Bowling Green or going home tonight?
  4. JC' s kicker has the state record for longest field goal and punt if I'm not mistaken.
  5. I think that is what had confused me. I knew they had changed something. Regardless, I love watching their offense. They have it down to a science and yes the offensive line and coaches are awesome to watch.
  6. Ok, I thought in the Tates Creek game a went some out of the gun. I was obviously wrong.
  7. Great article. I do love watching Belfry' s offense. They remind me a little of the old Nebraska teams of the 90's that dominated teams with their offensive line. I liked it better though when Belfry lined up under center. Does anyone know why they go out of the shotgun now?
  8. Yeah it does but at the same time the fact Belfry got destroyed by a Cabell Midland team who didn't even make it to the finals in West Virginia kind of cancels that out IMO.
  9. You sold me with Kentucky's first iron furnace. Only problem would be the furnace would steal the show and no one would show up for the games. They would all be over looking at furnace.
  10. I think Watisu summed it up really well. They are polar opposites of one another and each of their strengths plays on the other's weaknesses. It should be a dandy. I really like Belfry' s running game. They have it down to a science. I think Belfry wins in a close one. Go Pirates!
  11. Not to get off topic, but when I was going to EKU I had a couple classes with former Beechwood great Brandon Berger. I know he was a really good running back in high school. I was surprised when I saw he elected to play baseball instead of football. He obviously made the correct choice because he did make it to the majors. Does anyone know what offers he had to play football?
  12. I'm really glad that Beechwood and Pikeville are meeting for the A state title. They had a nice rivalry going back in the late 80s and early 90s. It is nice to see them meeting in the championship.
  13. I like Johnson Central and love watching their offense. With that being said, by listening to some of their fans you would think they had won as any state titles as a Trinity, a Highland, or a St X. They can be very arrogant and hard to take at times, but I still say Go Eagles!
  14. You are the most overly sensitive person I've seen on this site. You'll be on suicide watch when you see just how good Pikeville really is. The Panthers will take this one.
  15. You must be reading a different thread than me. I didn't see any of what you described?
  16. I think this will be a close game once again. I think Paintsville has the advantage because their best player and athlete is also their qb. IMO he will be the best athlete on the field and will be involved in every offensive play for the Tigers and I'm afraid this gives them the edge. I hope I'm wrong and Pikeville rips them a new one though. Go Panthers.
  17. I was really pulling for Paris. I love the town and the school. I didn't watch the game, but I don't think Paintsville needed any help in this game. They have one heck of a team. Congrats to them. Paris get into the weight room and get ready for next year.
  18. Go ahead and take jtrees.
  19. 0-0 after 1. Bell Co with the ball past mid field.
  20. 0-0 2:56 to go in the 1st quarter
  21. Congrats Hounds. Great victory.
  22. Congrats to Scott on the victory. From reading the prediction thread on this game, I didn't think Scott had a chance. I'm an Ashland fan and Johnson Central fan if that is possible. We will see if Scott can shock another one of my teams next week. Another person not giving Scott respect is Tanner Hesterberg of WYMT TV. He said a possible game they might broadcast next week is the Ashland-Johnson Central game.
