  1. Adair County is 14-3 this year and will return 7 of their top 8 players including 6'7 Isaiah Cochran who averages 16 ppg, point guard Connor Loy who averages 17 ppg, and 6'6 Brayton Coomer who averages 11 ppg. Cochran has multiple D1 offers and Loy has a D1 offer from Mcneese State. The lone rotation player they lose from this year averages 3 ppg off the bench. Their returning top 7 next year will consist of 6 seniors and 1 junior
  2. Great game between two of the 5th regions top teams last night in the 2A section 4 championship. Larue came out blazing hot with 4-5 3's in the first quarter and led as much as 19-8. Adair cut into the lead in the 2nd but Larue was still up 35-24 at halftime. In the second half Adair turned up the pressure and outscored Larue 14-4 in the 3rd quarter and the game came down to the final play as Adair missed a 3 for a chance to win. Both of these teams will have great chances to cut down the nets to go to Rupp come March.
  3. Two of the top teams in the 5th region will meet Saturday night at 6:00 CT at Russell County High School with a trip to the 2A State tournament in Owensboro on the line. Adair is #1 in the 5th region in RPI with a 12-1 record while Larue is 6th with a 9-6 record. Larue is as hot as anyone thought. To give an idea of some of the top teams each have played Adair has wins over Taylor County and Etown. Larue has wins over Taylor County, Washington County, and North Laurel and close losses to North Hardin, Frederick Douglass and Desales. Notable Stats: -Both teams shooting over 50% from the field and 40% from 3 point line -Larue is led by 6'5 Daniel Allen averaging 22 mpg, 6'2 Jagger Mardis 18 ppg, and 6'5 Landon Blakey's 11 ppg -Adair is led by 6'0 Connor Loy averaging 17.8 ppg, 6'7 Isaiah Cochran 17 ppg, and 6'6 Brayton Coomers 11 ppg
  4. Larue wins this clash of two of the top teams in the 5th and advance to play Adair in the 2A sectional finals on Saturday at Russell County.
  5. Adair improves to 12-1 and advances to the 2A Section Finals Saturday night vs Larue County.
  6. Totally different teams here Douglas very athletic while Larue relies more on shooting.
  7. This score was seriously shocking because of the talent Boyle County has.
  8. Adair is 7-0 with 2 nice wins over Etown and Taylor County. They could be 11-0 going into the new year if they handle business in their next 4 games with Campbellsville, South Warren, Glasgow, and Monroe County.
  9. Rankings from both Nations Elite and KSR for week 3.
  10. Adair improves to 5-0 as they knock off a previously 3-1 Grayson County team. The junior duo of Isaiah Cochran and Connor Loy led the Indians with 24 and 20 points. Adair will have a big game on Tuesday as they host Etown who is ranked top 15 in the state in some polls.
  11. Indians improve to 5-0 with a win over their rivals. Taylor County had a halftime lead but Adair outscored them by 19 in the second half. Isaiah Cochran and Connor Loy led the Indians combining for 37 points and 19 rebounds
  12. Pretty sure Deuce Bailey was out for BG but not 100% on that.
  13. Indians start 3-0 with a nice road win over a tough Green County team. Sophomore Dawson Gilbert led the way with 19 points, followed by junior Isaiah Cochrans 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assist, as well as junior Connor Loys 14 points and 9 assist.
  14. Adair County defeated North Hardin in a scrimmage 76-57 tonight. North was without Shaun Boykins who's recovering from a football injury.
  15. Think you can argue as many as 6-7 teams could win the region this year. It has that much depth and seems to be wide open.
  16. Tuesday November 14th Adair County at North Hardin @ 6:30 ET
  17. Logsdon is no longer at Caverna as he transferred to Grayson County.
  18. This ranking tbh is pretty bad. Warren Central lost 7 of their rotation players off the state title team. Etown lost 2 starting guards that were double digit scorers.
  19. Anyone know if Union County will have this game live-streamed anywhere?
  20. Union County comes in 9-1 after dropping their first game of the season 27-12 last week to Greenwood. Adair County finished the regular season 7-3 after a 30 -18 win over Metcalfe County. Both teams have dynamic QB's who are much more run than pass, they are for sure the best players for both teams.
  21. A pair of 2025's for Adair County received D1 offers today. 6'0 point guard Connor Loy and 6'7 wing Isaiah Cochran both received offers from Mcneese State. It's the first D1 offer for Loy and 4th for Cochran
  22. The 6-3 Indians take on the 2-7 Hornets in the final game of the regular season. Adair is coming off a 49-20 win at McCreary Central, while Metcalfe lost a hard fought game to Green County last week 38-21 which was even closer that the score says. Both teams are led by Dual Threat QB's who have dangerous legs, Lane Grant for Adair and Mason Estes for Metcalfe.
  23. Would have to say this is the most up in the air the region has been in awhile and with arguably 8-9 teams who could win the whole thing or beat one another. Adair Bardstown North Hardin Etown Central Hardin Larue County Taylor County Green County Washington County I see very little difference in that group of 9.
  24. Theirs a rumor that 2 impact players could be heading to the 5th region tomorrow from another school. Something to watch for.
