  1. Best of luck to Holy Cross and Coach Crumbacker...one of the more stand-up guys in our community and one heck of a player back in his day. Shamrock Nation will be cheering for you - and regardless of the outcome, hope to see him back in Coaching soon. We need more guys like Coach Crumbacker coaching young men no matter where it might be.
  2. big rn, the Rocks actually shut them out on offense - NO offensive TD's. Both scores came from the kick return. Something the Rocks have really improved throughout the season.
  3. What is wrong with my reaction? Why are you confused? All I did was state factual information. The QB threw for 2 TD'S last week and Gentry ran for 200 yards. Both pieces of factual information were well documented on the news and in the Courier. Yet we still continue to hear about the injuries on BGP's and out in the community. That was the only reason I said "smoke and mirrors". It just seems like too many people want to create the impression the kids from H might not play. Hopefully all of them are ready to roll and looking forward to another classic battle.
  4. And you guys aren't even talking about one of the top 2 way players in the state. I'm sure everyone you guys are talking about is really good - and I think Kash will get the award. But my vote would go to Rodjay Burns from Trinity/UL. You want to talk about an impact player on both sides - come check out Burns. And I will mention his stats are against top notch out of state teams, in the largest class, playing X two times this year - and he had to unfortunately come out of games in the 3rd quarter when we were blowing teams out. Value your opinions and plenty of guys worthy of the award. Just hope to keep our guy from T in the discussion
  5. I guess you can start calling him Superman after the 2 TD passed to Zachary Smith Friday night. Both passes aired on the news and documented in the Courier. Gentry rushed for 201 yards this past week. Half of the city was talking about him being out for the season the past two weeks. Anyone know why all the smoke and mirrors? Just horrible content to be talking about especially with High School kids. Happy to see Male seems to be at full strength...if such a thing exist this time of year. Everyone still playing in the tournament is beat up and bruised.
  6. Stop it!! Coach Cobb is just fine at Trinity. All phone lines on Shelbyville Rd have lost service - won't be up and running until Manual has a new football coach. Nothing to see over at Trinity.
  7. Not buying what you're trying to sell. Starting QB for Male came into the game and he was on the news Friday night. In the spirit of the new Star Wars, you trying to play Jedi mind tricks. You can count on Trinity game planning for Shelton, Gentry and Wakefiled. All the injury stuff is a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
  8. Way to go Tigers! Keep it rolling.
  9. The name has been mentioned by a number of people this past week...but I'm hearing it isn't Manual. Nothing but rumors right now. I guess we will wait and see. Still just don't see anyone taking over the Manual program and doing much more than Dr Lucas. Winning 7, 8, 9 games every year and sending guys to college is very respectable. Especially when you've been in the district with Trinity, Male, X for several years. Can't wait to see how this one will play out. In my opinion, the new coach will have big shoes to fill.
  10. Yes- PWO for the Cards. OLine and long snapper.
  11. Although both teams are focused on eachother tonight (T & X)...you hit the nail on the head. A lot of the guys have played with and against eachother for many years and don't want to see any player injured especially Seniors in the playoffs. I heard that straight out of the mouth of a few T impact players. Any team that has an opportunity to play the Dawgs should hope to see them at full strength. Agree 100%!
  12. Best of luck to our Catholic Brothers from the Southside tonight. Go take care of business tonight and set up the classic rematch next week. Plenty of people out at PJCS will be thinking about you guys. Take care of business!! Safe travels.
  13. The kids I know on the team right now would prefer to have the game on campus. Sell 10,000 tickets - give X 3,000 to sell at school and give T 3,000 to sell at school - put the rest on Ticketmaster and if you don't get a ticket in time, you don't get into the game. I bet it would sell out in 1 hour. Save all the money from renting PJCS and put the money back into the schools. Kids really don't care about playing in that stadium anymore in front of 8,000 people. Heck, charge $20 per ticket on campus and I still bet it would sell out in 1 hour. Spend some of the money on police officers, securing parking spots and shuttle to the stadium. I know the St Matthews businesses would love to chip in and make it happen ad well. Both schools could pull this off with a little effort.
  14. I saw the QB injury delayed on TV versus Western. Didn't look good at the time - in the area of the shoulder, collarbone or elbow. He was holding his arm in pain running off the field. Backup QB was tough. Bulldogs wouldn't miss a beat with the 2nd string guy. But, I'm willing to bet the Starter only sustained a deep bump or bruise...something like that. I expect him to be back - Coach said in the paper all the injured guys are available tonight. Good luck to Dogs tonight. If you don't need the guys to play...why play them, right.
  15. Thanks for the info. Doesn't hurt to have the connection but I agree Coach Harbaugh isn't passing out PWO spots just for the heck of it. Hope to see the kid make a contribution down the road!
  16. Well...all the turnovers X "forced" still managed to get them zero wins against H and T. So this time around, if X can generate that many turnovers - the X faithful would expect them to win. Or, if H and T manage to eliminate the mistakes you can just as easy say the margin of victory will be bigger. Which one is more likely to happen? Like you said, it will be sorted out on the field Friday night and I look forward to your assessment Friday night/Sat morning.
  17. Way to go Rouse! I go back about 20 years with his Dad - back to the old Campbellsville days. Congrats to Justin as well. Plenty of talent in this class around Hardin County. Best of luck to both guys heading off to the East Coast!
  18. Purple88, may I ask how the young man got an amazing opportunity of this nature? Connection to the program - maybe a family connection or did he attend a camp and keep in touch throughout the season? I don't care what anyone might say - this is a great opportunity...might be expensive but I'm willing to bet this kid is a top notch student on top of a quality football player. Kids like that usually get some money from the academic side. Just wondering about the process for this young man and his family. Appreciate anything you can share.
  19. Hey Jason...will we ever know who the Coach is sharing his thoughts and approach to the big game/teams? Kind of like watching NFL countdown but turning the lights off on the set so we can't see who is talking. Pretty easy to talk about Tom Brady on TV with no lights, Camara, action. But, if you put it down on paper, I trust the credibility. Seriously! Im only busting your chops. In the event Coach Beatty gave you a scouting report, more than confident he wouldn't want his name left out of the article.
  20. Thank you, DD. We are talking about the #1 or #2 defense in all of 6A. I actually thought a clarification was coming right after Pep Rock and you delivered, my Man!!
  21. Awesome! Love seeing our guys from KY get opportunities to play for big time programs regardless of the sport.
  22. I know tickets are available at Trinity 8am - 4pm through Friday. Everything is $10.00 General Admission and $5.00 for 10 years old and younger.
