Clearly you have a dog in the fight. I don't. Just what I saw last night. Like my original post said, Both Ohmer & Allen could have had higher #s . For different reasons they didn't. Not knocking either player or team. All will be making noise all year

Ohmer missed a lot for him from what I've seen in the past. Allen missed at least 1 of 2 FTs until he hit 4 straight in OT. He should fill it up from 3 feet at his height, but that's just me. Looking forward to seeing his game grow over the next several years.

These #s could have been higher. Ohmer spent a lot of time on the bench in the 1st half because of fouls. Allen missed a lot of FTs & spends a lot of time on the perimeter.

I know several schools have 2 sets. But all the ones I've been to have home team in front of home stands. Anything else is just asking for trouble, imo

So 1 of the 4/5 mentioned have 2 sets of stands. IMO, the issue has to do with those in stands in this discussion.

Discussion is where there are 2 sets of stands, like at SK. Not just 1, like at Highlands.

Yes. And many are friends of mine. Lol. They tend to be fanatical & "that fan" like a certain college team south of Independence. Some, not all. :popcorn::walk::walk:

Trinity/StX game a few Friday's ago was a 7:30 kickoff at PJS with the Louisville/Virginia game a noon kickoff on Saturday. Just curious why they could turn PJS in that timeframe but not at WKU. Doubtful the college teams would be practicing at 7:30, so has to be some other reason.

Why are there no Friday night games?

So the bench switch is just an intimidation ploy, because the teams would never cross paths coming out of their respective locker rooms.

Is the visiting locker room still behind the concession stand on the opposite end & opposite side of the field house?

They may have & I definitely don't condone coaches or players talking to fans or cheerleaders, but that's an SK issue for putting the visiting team on that side.

Bad experiences because they lost? I was at the SK/Scott game last year (1 of the few girls games I was able to attend, mostly see boys games) and it was 1 of the top 3 games I saw last year. Mainly because the refs stayed out of the game and let the players decide it. Most teams that play physical don't like when teams are physical towards them.

Saw both teams play for first time last night. Both well coached as there were very few penalties. No encroachment by either D-line, no false starts by either O-line (false starts were on skill positions), don't believe there were any holding calls either. My takeaway from the game, as I mentioned before are well coached, is that #34 for Trinity never carries the ball in his left hand. Hurt? Or just not something he does? Seems like he has potential to play in college, yet odd this hasn't been coached out of him yet.

Majority said Ashland wouldn't have any issues either

It seems the "specialization" was brought on by the AAU/select coaches more so than high school coaches, imo. Which seems crazy to me. Playing multiple sports gives athletes more opportunities to not only succeed but fail. If specialization is supposed to help athletes succeed and get to the next level, why is "what other sports do you play?" one of the first few questions out of a college coaches mouth?

That must be a strong district if Rowan County is the 4-seed. Great game by both teams. Scott is as advertised & majority on here are selling Rowan short. Rowan had very good size up front, 2 quick backs (QB #8 &RB #3) & 1 lineman-sized RB #45. Looked like most on Rowan went both ways. #7 for Scott had a huge game on offense. #46 seemed to make every tackle on defense for Scott. #45 carried the load & some Eagles on offense for Rowan. Team effort on defense for Rowan Ping-Pong game with Scott coming up with a huge 4 & 1 stop late to set up the go ahead TD & a INT to seal it.

Wow! You helped with 1. I didn't attend this years, had another commitment. But have been attending for 5 decades. I try to get to Dixie, SK & Scott SR nights as much as possible because of friends & friends kids. And the bolded isn't surprising, every visiting team tries to talk the home team into charging home fans more. :banana:

No matter what sport, teams are always given time to warmup. Scott had to warmup as well. Not sure how much time is given in football, as I've never gotten to a game to see the time put on the clock to start warmups. Using basketball as a guideline, I've noticed that both teams are given 20 minutes to warmup after SR night activities, no matter when they start.
