THSGrad-N-Dad Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Final. Rematch with Male next Friday.
Tiger2023 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Tough to watch after first drive. If Male beats Trinity I will be suprised. Throw out first game IMO.
tcjkbt Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 A thorough and convincing win for the Shamrocks. QB Woosley was 21-26. X's defense played fairly well but the offense did not as T was too strong up front.
ShamrockChamps Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I'm sure X is glad a few guys from T won't be back next year, X will be tough next season for sure
eatsleepdrinkfootbal Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Trinity played well and St. X offense struggled. Nice game Trinity they were the better team on this day.
sports fan Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I don't even think T played their best game. Somewhere Mike Glaser is grinning.
thsrocks Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Trinity has not lost to St Xavier in the playoffs since Mike Glaser tipped his cap and waved at the Trinity sideline late in the 2009 State Championship game.
ShamrockChamps Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I'm thinking the turnover & penalty ridden Trinity team that showed up at Male earlier this season ain't gonna be the same team that shows up at Male this coming Friday night, just a hunch... We'll see what happens
bruin66 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Trinity played well. They made some outstanding catches vs. tight coverage early in the game in some critical situations. The scrambling ability of the Trinity QB and the receivers effectively running the scramble drill was very good and made a difference in the game in the first half. The St. X defense hung in there early in the game, especially against the run. Trinity made some plays in the passing game with various quick screens and fake screens. But the bottom line was the St. X offense was completely ineffective. Untimely interceptions plagued the Tigers, but an overall lack of production hurt worse. The running game was nonexistent. Trinity dared the Tigers to throw the ball deep, but the Rocks were able to match up in coverage. Basically, there was nowhere for the St. X QB to go with the ball, thus resulting in numerous sacks and interceptions. Also, it was disappointing to see St. X have to take numerous timeouts on special teams due to players missing the teams. In my opinion, the 6A state championship game will be next week at Male High School between the Bulldogs and the Shamrocks.
All Tell Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Trinity has not lost to St Xavier in the playoffs since Mike Glaser tipped his cap and waved at the Trinity sideline late in the 2009 State Championship game. I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but this senior class has only lost 1 game (at all levels) to X and that was last years regular season game.
