  1. Where is he from? His name sounds really familiar to me?
  2. The geographic center of kentucky is listed as 3 miles northwest of Lebanon, ky. Bowling green is 95.3 miles (southwest) of Lebanon. Lexington is 63.8 miles north east of Lebanon. Louisville is 66.6 miles northwest of Lebanon. I stand by my argument...even though I might have overstated the southern-ness and western-ness. I apologize.
  3. I played in a state championship and couldnt have cared less where the game took place! Bowling green is definitely not central ky. I guess my point is, host the game in the most centrally located venue you can find.
  4. Westerns facilities are perfect, but it is in the southwestern corner of our state. We have the basketball state championship in Rupp arena...a very large basketball facility. Just saying.
  5. Lexington is perfect geographically. Hopefully the state championship moves to Commonwealth very soon. No offense, but having the games in Bowling Green is ridiculous.
  6. If there was a mafia....I would say that it is and will remain completely irrelevant in coach Eviston's tenure at Covington Catholic.
  7. Highlands is obviously the team to beat....but I think Covington Catholic might surprise many people this year!
  8. Oh....ok. Yeah your are right. The league is full of players who can't play any defense and can't shoot for 2.5 months of the season. It's not a matter of Booker being better than the Harrison's, I'm asking how can Booker be perceived to be "that" much better than the Harrison's? Their draft status suggests they are light years apart and I don't see how that is such the case. Everyone thinks that Bookers game will naturally fit the nba. Why? He struggled to knock down open shots for a good portion of the season and he can't guard anyone. His shot does look good and he shot lights out for half the season....then not so much.
  9. He was consistent in transition, but he went into a 2 month "shooting slump" and never came out of it. His shot looks good but I'm thinking 2 months goes beyond being a "streaky shooter"....and being in a slump. He basically couldn't shoot for just under half of the season. His defense is atrocious.
  10. I'm personally baffled as to how the Harrisons are projected to be the 50th and 80th (undrafted) picks, but Booker is in the top 20. What am I missing about Booker?
  11. You could say the same thing for half the nba players and their college coaches.
  12. Do you think that makes your statement less wrong?
  13. Yeah coach k has definitely been drafting his players into the pros like coach cal. He's a far better recruiter. Your right.
  14. I think that's a very questionable decision but I wish him well.
  15. That's what I'm asking. Obviously a great point guard wants to play for cal, but the roster looks full. He could easily go somewhere else for the year and all would be fine.
  16. The city of louisville bent over backwards for the university in the yum center deal. It was worse than the city of cincinnatti's deal for Paul brown stadium.
  17. Why are we assuming Newman will sign with UK? He has stated that he wants to be a point guard. If cal is claiming that he will build the team around Tyler Ulis, why would he want to split time and shots? Doesn't it seem like LSU would be a better fit because his best friend has already committed there and he will have everything he is looking for?
  18. I was in a heated argument with buddies Saturday night pertaining the lyles non-foul. I was adamant that he did not intend to strike the Wisconsin player while executing a swim move....until they replayed the angle of lyles coming towards the camera. It was completely intentional and he should have been ejected. I am a die hard cats fan, to put things in perspective. No idea how they determined there was no foul after 3.5 minutes of watching the same play over and over again.
  19. The high school ninth region boys tournament was atrocious. Many college games this year were astounding. Not only with inconsistent determination of a foul, but also just flat out blown calls.
