  1. Kentucky Wesleyan got a good Quarterback in Adam Bouchard, I believe this young man could be a player they can build their offense around in a couple of years. He might not have had the big stats as some of the other Quarterbacks in the state, but if you watched him play he is one of the best at the position. Bouchard seems to understand and control the game better than any quarterback I have seen in a while. The kid knows how to read a defense and make the most of the weapons around him. I look forward to see how he does at Kentucky Wesleyan.
  2. Adam Bouchard the senior Quarterback at Daviess County should be on this list. The kid is a good athlete and plays the Position better than most high school quarterback. Bouchard has a strong arm and see’s the whole field.
  3. Western Kentucky has some guys who will not be on the radar but are very good players. Adam Bouchard Quarterback at Daviess County, Cash Jones, Quarterback at MCCracken County and Rex Henderson , Quarterback at Butler County. These Quarterbacks are very good athletes and have done a good job leading their Teams. Bouchard has started the past two years at Daviess County, he sees the field better than most Quarterbacks and has a strong arm, and he does not make many mistakes. Bouchard can run but has not had to until this year. Bouchard will have to step up this year for Daviess County he is the only returning starter on Offense. I have been told they have some good young players ready to step. Jones is a strong Quarterback with a big arm also, Jones can run the ball if needed. McCracken County has been loaded with talent for Jones work with. Jones had lead McCracken for most of the past two years. Henderson is a big athlete with a strong arm and is a duel threat, Henderson has also started the past two years, Henderson is also a very good defensive player; Butler County will return some good weapons this year. I expect all three of these players to have a good year and possibly play at the next level. I think looking at a kids hudl account to see how he plays not just look at stats is always good. I know Bouchard and Jones did not play in the second half of several games because of big leads and running clocks. Nothing wrong with keeping a kid in to help his stats but we need to look at both sides. Football is a team sport sometimes what is best for the team cuts into individual player’s stats.
  4. Daviess County returns a very good Quarterback Adam Bouchard and some nice young skilled players both on Offense and Defense. They will need to replace their offensive line, all five were seniors this past year. DC will need to find someone to fill the shoes of John Stratton who also is a senior. I have been told the team and coaching staff has been working very hard this off season. For Daviess County to be successful this year the younger players will need to step up.
  5. Way to early but fun to talk about !! I think there has been a 6A Quarterback that has been overlooked in this discussion. Adam Bouchard Daviess County Adam Bouchard, Adam Bouchard - Hudl, Career Stats. 4610 passing yards, 53 TD’s 209.5 yards per game & 271 rushing yards & 4 TD’s…. He looks and plays the part of a Quarterback that can play at the next level 6’2 180 … Strong arm, good feet, speed and keeps his eyes down field, a very good athlete both in Football and Track & Field. This next year will be a true test for him losing his O line, top Receiver and running back. Anyone who seen him play, knows he has something special to add for his team, the kid is a winner at all time and does not give up. He is someone to keep an eye on this coming year.
  6. All the kids mentioned had a good 2015 season but sometimes we need to look at more then just stats when determining what how well a kid plays the position. Hudl has been a good tool to help see how a kids looks playing Quarterback... the truth be told there are a some coaches who will leave a QB in late into a blow out and this blows up a kids stats. Now I am not saying this is wrong or right but sometime's stats do not tell the whole story.
  7. Looks like there are many good QB's coming back next year, I have seen Bouchard from Daviess County and Henderson from Butler County play. both of these kids played well this past year, I suggest looking at their highlights from this past year on hudl. Bouchard will step up in the pocket and make alot of plays most QB's won't,Bouchard has great touch on the ball and Henderson is a big storng QB with a good are arm and can run.
  8. Who are the best returning Quarterbacks in Western Kentucky ?
  9. Purple88, I agree with you , The younger guys need the time. I just wanted to point out the big stats for some teams who leaves their kids in most or all of the game against a weaker team.... what I seen at DC the culture has changed for the better, more Team less I.
  10. Daviess County has been somewhat underrated this year, a lot of people look at the stats a teams puts up, but the DC coaches have had a lot of class by pulling the starters early when up on weaker teams. There was two games this year the starters did not play in the second half. So stats are down but the wins are up…. And I think any good player would trade wins for stats. Friday should be a nice test for both teams.
  11. I agree this should be a good game but I think Daviess County is just better then Henderson this year. DC Defense will need to keep the Carter kid contained and they should be fine.
  12. DC will have to play their best to win this game. DC defense will need to play mistake free for a DC win and the DC offense needs to out together drives that will help to keep the DC defense off the field and fresh.
  13. I thought Daviess County played better then what the score showed. The DC defense did a good job in the first half but in the second half had a tough time keeping up with the speed of OHS. The loss of Stratton both on offense and defense was a blow for DC. Bouchard, the DC, QB, did a good job , he took some hard shots from the OHS defense but kept playing well. McEwen and Lecroy both had a good game on offense. I think DC should give McCracken County a good game, hopefully the kids who were injured in the OHS game will be back for their district game.
  14. Keep an eye on the Daviess County Kid !
  15. I agree with everything that has been said so far…… but I like to say Daviess County has played as a team all year and kept the distractions to a minimum that would have derailed previous Daviess County teams. All the kids have bought into the “Team” not letting Stats and press clipping get in their way for a successful year. I think the DC coaching staff has done a great job changing the culture around the DC Football program , I would say that coaching football at DC is one of the hardest job around the area. Coach Brannon and his staff are doing a great job no matter the outcome of Friday’s game. With all that said I think DC can stay in the game by keeping the mistakes low and containing OHS running game and forcing OHS to pass. The DC Offense now has a sound running game and I would not rule out Chase Lecroy from having a big night, there is not a harder running back around and still Stratton and Bouchard are still looking for a big game. This should one of the best game in the area this year ! DC 28-OHS 21 in OT
  16. I think Daviess County can stay in the game with Catholic if their defense does not make too many mistakes. I think the DC coaches have the kids going in the right direction and their offense is going to be very sound this year.
  17. You can find the 2015 Daviess County schedule at daviesscountyfootball.com
  18. Adam Bouchard QB from Daviess County had a good showing at the Columbus opening, posted the best 40 time of all the QB’s 4.67.
  19. The Daviess County Quarterback Adam Bouchard had a solid sophomore year with 2509 yards and 24 TD’s. He has the Potential to be a standout quarterback this coming season. The kid is good size 6’2 170 and a good athlete. He is also on the track team and was fifth in the high jump last week in the State AAA Track meet. Also going to the Elite 11 competition at Ohio State this weekend.
  20. Bubba Parris - Desales Chris Dishman - Desales
  21. Daviess County has some good talent returning for the 2015 season. I think the coaches will have a lot to work with. John Stratton http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2138398/highlights/177055377/v2 Samuel Spiceson http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1626321/highlights/36058373/v2 Chase Lacroy http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1877934/highlights/215050375/v2 Adam Bouchard http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2410178/highlights/174015376/v2 Braxton Hurley http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2929545/highlights/205588375/v2
  22. I do not agree that the Daviess County Administration does not care or know anything about football. The Principal and AD are both former coaches and have work hard to create a winning attitude. Since the dismissal of Coach Kimbrell the DC assistant coaches have kept the program moving forward with a positive attitude. They have had a great turnout at the winter weight program. The DC football team returns most of their skilled positions from last year and some good young athletes moving into the vacant positions. The biggest problem DC has had in the past is some of the best athletes in the school do not come out for football, this needs to change for DC to be successful every year.
