Who wins and what's your score??

The winner of this game gets a home playoff game most likely vs Meade County and loser gets to go to North Hardin. The only game you kinda can look at is the first half of both teams vs McCracken game. Henderson was down 30-3 at half and Daviess was down 50-9. Ill take Henderson 24-21. Should be great game.

I agree this should be a good game but I think Daviess County is just better then Henderson this year. DC Defense will need to keep the Carter kid contained and they should be fine.

I think this game will depend on how healthy Henderson is. If the Colonels are at full strength, I think they'll give DC fits. If not, DC is healthy and I look for the Panthers to have the advantage. Not ready to predict just yet........

Daviess County has been somewhat underrated this year, a lot of people look at the stats a teams puts up, but the DC coaches have had a lot of class by pulling the starters early when up on weaker teams. There was two games this year the starters did not play in the second half. So stats are down but the wins are up…. And I think any good player would trade wins for stats.

Friday should be a nice test for both teams.

WKY, this is just the way it works with starters sitting out. However, it's the solid teams that get this is THE best preparation for their younger guys, who are the future of their team. Who cares if they make mistakes because the coaches will work with them to correct the issue going forward.

 

Some will say "Our starters aren't getting enough work"; this is short sided mostly. I think Daviess can use this to their advantage for the future.

Well at least they will get Owensboro ready for post season. And you are right last two years Henderson has had their best game of they year vs the Devils.

Purple88, I agree with you , The younger guys need the time. I just wanted to point out the big stats for some teams who leaves their kids in most or all of the game against a weaker team.... what I seen at DC the culture has changed for the better, more Team less I.

It has the makings to be a good game but Il take the Colonels by 2tds.

I know a lot of people are down on Henderson Co. this year but the truth is their schedules been murderer's row. Rather than simply looking at their records I like to look at the records of the teams they've played. Henderson's opponents they've played thus far are 46-16. Davies County's opponents 28-26.

I wouldnt judge a DC team that was missing several key players vs McCracken(not saying they would have won that game with those guys, just saying i think that contributed to the score being THAT out of hand). The Panthers are back to full strength now and appear to be ready to make their deepest playoff run in a very long time. For DC, it seems to all starts with their running game. LeCroy has been a stud at the RB spot all year. The run has opened up pass nicely. DC has a nice QB/WR combo in Adam Bouchard & John Stratton.

 

While Henderson is a little down from what we are used to, they are still dangerous. Their schedule has been somewhat of a murders row. That said, a few things stand out to me on their schedule. A 28-14 loss at home to Christian County and a competitive game vs Muhlenberg. The same Muhlenberg team that DC could have beat 80 to 0 had they left their starters on the field. I think DC bucks tradition and wins this game by a few scores....

If Daviess is healthier at key positions than when they played McCracken, then I give the edge to them. If their defense can hold Carter to a "reasonable" number of yards, then DC should prevail.

Great news for Henderson they got their best tackler on defense back. He lead them in tackles the first two games before he got hurt.
