  1. Saw a PBR tweet that Cameron Planck and Ben Jordan will square off tomorrow night. Sounds like several pro scouts will be there as well. Man, what a high school pitching matchup that should be.
  2. 36 is plenty. No way should there be any thought of playing more.
  3. St. X beat Lexington Catholic and then turned around and got beat by Trinity and North Bulitt. In that case how is St.X ranked above those 2 teams? You can't use that logic when ranking teams.
  4. There is not much baseball talent at NCC. Hasn't been for a few years now.
  5. If any team's top 2 or 3 pitchers has an off outing they are in trouble. Goes without saying.
  6. Absolutely. They have the pitching to match up with any team in the 9th region. If they get out of the region, they will have as good a shot as anyone. Does anyone really think Simon Kenton was the second best team in the state in 2014 or Scott was one of the top 4 teams last year?
  7. PBR posted their preseason top 25 today Prep Baseball Report > Kentucky > News
  8. GRC was 15-15 last year. I would say a .500 squad is pretty average until proven otherwise.
  9. I don't have them confused at all. They have two games each against the following: Robertson Co, Fleming Co, Grant Co, Paris, Pendleton Co, Nicholas Co, Montgomery Co, Bourbon Co, GRC. Single games against - Owen Co, Bracken Co, Estill Co, East Carter, Perry Co Central, Rowan Co, Lawrence Co That's 25 games against teams that the best you can say about them is they are average. Most below average. Northern KY games - Bellevue, Bishop Brossart, Walton Verona, Campbell Co (twice), Conner, Dixie Heights. (not exactly murderers row of NKY) Lexington games - Scott Co (twice), Lex Christian Louisville Games - Eastern, South Oldham I don't understand why there aren't more Lexington schools on this schedule given how close Harrison Co is to Lex. But yeah I could see 25 wins on that schedule.
  10. Harrison Co may win 25 games like they did last year because that schedule is weak again.
  11. No way do I believe Highlands falls in behind all the 33rd district teams. Personally I see it as 1. Beechwood - Definitely the most talent but haven't lived up to expectations. May finally be there year. 2. Highlands - Still have Raisor, Doty, and soph Rom gives them a deep staff. One thing is for sure, they will be well coached. 3. Ryle - Ziegelmeyer and they have a junior lefty over there (can't remember his name) who is pretty good. 4. Cov Cath - Always one of the top few teams in the region. 5. Boone Co - Purnell one of the top pitchers in the state. Not sure how much they will have around him though. Heard the Teegarden kid transferred to Campbell County which if true would be a big loss for them.
  12. I wasn't able to make it down to the event but saw some tweets with some very impressive numbers. And did anyone see what the Schneider kid from Daviess Co did?? His numbers were crazy!
  13. PBR runs this event every year right before high school practice begins. Looks like another big time event. I just may have to head to Lexington Saturday to get my winter baseball fix. Prep Baseball Report > Kentucky > News
  14. PBR Super 60 is this Sunday. Good luck to Stringer and Combs!
  15. I saw on twitter where Beechwood's Ethan Stringer was selected to participate in the PBR Super 60 Showcase in Chicago. Congrats to Ethan!
  16. Maybe they should just drag the regional tournaments out two weeks as well so everyone gets to throw their number 1 every game. Teams have to win three games in three games to get there but then 4 games gets dragged out over 10 days? Drag it all out and play the state championship July 4. Yes, this is a sarcastic post.
  17. If we are looking at KY as a whole, 2013 had two second rounders in the MLB draft out of high school...Hunter Green and Clinton Hollon. May be a long time before we see something like that again.
  18. The KHSAA has to be one of the worst governing bodies of high school sports in the country. That response to the proposal was a complete joke. The good ol' boy network is alive and well, and it's spelled KHSAA.
  19. Saw where Ethan Doty will pitch for Team KY at the PBR Future Games. Congrats to the young man.
  20. Has this young man been offered a spot on Team KY for the PBR Future Games? Sounds like he is one that definitely needs to be on that team.
