Good rebound from the loss to Lloyd.

 

Brossart Mustangs and Indians square off at 11:30am on Thursday morning at Meiken Field.

Many had high hopes for the breds this season and this is a shocking loss to me coming from how many think the breds have a very nice team this year, better than in the past few years many have said

NewCath will not be good this year

i feel that new cath's baseball team will just never really be able to beat any of the top nky teams convincingly, they just never seem to have the coaching and more than a few good athletes

Have to agree with my man d1son on this one, i don't see ncc being good this year. John Hairball Harris would have been their top pitcher no doubt, yet he decided to run track. That should show the level of respect ncc baseball gets. Even their best players don't want to play. Not sure what the deal is on the hill, could be their coaching, which has never really gained much respect. Imo the coaching shouldn't gain much respect because it is average at best.

Pretty strong statement for a coach who has won I think 4 regionals and an ALL A State. I think he won a couple regional with in a 4 year span or something like that.

Let's be honest here, all a state is not a difficult tourny for ncc to win every year, they have imo the best athletes in nearly every sport in that tourny every year, however they cannot get it done year in and year out. Could just be the overall baseball program at ncc not ever really gaining too much respect around the students and athletes, but either way ncc is far too talented to be where they are in baseball every year.

There are a lot of teams who don't get it done year in and year out, it goes in waves sometimes. NCC doesn't have the talent lately it has had previously and one or 2 players will make some impact but not enough to win a regional title.

There is not much baseball talent at NCC. Hasn't been for a few years now.

There is some talent that is not suiting up for sure. Harris, Jacob Smith, Austin Neff, Corey Martin are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

I dont believe that Jacob Smith or Austin Neff have played baseball for ncc in past years have they?

Do not know that answer to that question for sure.

Everyone close to the program knows the problem but nothing will be done.

NCC will be a much better team next year and the year after !! Breds have tremendous young talent!!! Sophomore Gunner Smith is a great talent and to be honest there should be a couple more sophomores brought up to varsity!! Getting frustrated that these coaches play favortism over talent!! GET it together coaches!! Love juice
