I think it is awesome! As long as the kid throwing in has room and is not hindered by the group, let them go! As a player I would love going there, I have always enjoyed enthusiastic crowds! S far as wearing black face, probably not appropriate. Basketball is a game and games are meant to be fun!

Sorry, couldn't help myself, I enjoy reading abut all the teams on here but some people get too upset about things (especially you RCC9) you little pot stirrer! I just had to give passtheball a little ribbing!

Score runner uppers

What about the girl that scored 58 of 61 points for her team? Was she running up the score? Was she trying to pad her stats? Didn't St Francis win by more than a few? Why didn't the coach take her out? If had kids on the winning side of things when they have won big and on the losing side of things. There is nothing you can do about either!

I enjoy your posts, and yes I read almost everything about every team and see your name quite often. I don't think every comment someone makes is negative or meant bad. Its like teams winning big, I don't think anyone ever tries to run score up to be mean, sometimes the separation of talent is they big. Just as I think RCC9 was just asking about what grade she is in because she thought she was an eighth grader and someone told him HC would have no 8ths.

My take from a different thread... I think Butler will win by 5. Just is too good of a coach. Obviously from what I've read about Male's two scrimmages, they are a time bomb. I do believe if they get their act together they will be the team to beat in the 7th. Too early for that. I've seen the Green girls play for a couple of years and there is an awful lot of attitude to go with the abundance of talent. Unfortunately sometimes attitude trumps talent. Also why would the freshman at Sacred Heart leave Butler if she was playing as an eighth grader and they have a good team?

I know Eastern seems loaded, did Mishler ever get cleared? Also I keep hearing and seeing that Mercy has high hopes even without Anderson!

OK, I jut saw the Simon Kenton v Brossard scrimmage post then read Passtheball's info on the Male v Campbell County scrimmage. Are we talking girls high school basketball? Seriously, the beauty of girls basketball in my opinion is the purity of the game. The good fundamentals. In leading up to this, I was looking forward to a great season, now I'm not so sure!

Man this should be an exciting season! Lots of excitement and talent in Kentucky for girls basketball!

Just saw the blog by Bolus, kudos to Coach Moir for getting recognized by Bolus as best Coach and didn't even need to get a technical to get a win. He says Male has the best senior (Green) , best little player (Sexton), best point guard (Harbinson) and most talented team. Would love to see Aimee Jump (Ryle) play. Does anyone know if any of the high schools live stream games or post to view after?

6 technical, two on Males coach? I would love to coach against them this year. With a physical style of play, I would get them frustrated and sit back and watch them self implode. I think some of these coaches think they have to be like Pitino and ride the refs and scream and holler. I did not see that game or have not seen Male play but from what I've read, even from the coaches mouth, they have to play as a team and it sounds like they are struggling to come to terms with their success.

I agree with RCC9, everyone needs time on the floor preseason, especially if someone gets in foul trouble or heaven forbid gets hurt. Its also odd that "the girls knew and agreed there would be no substitutions", N2thepaint, could you clarify if there was a vote to not sub?

No, did they play well? Hopefully someone can post some scores and comments from the scrimmages today.
