RESULTS OF THE BULLITT EAST HOOP-A-RAMA (KY)

Written by Rick Bolus | 21 November 2015

I attended the Bullitt East Hoop-A-Rama this weekend in Mt. Washington, KY. Below were the game results. Tomorrow I will list the top college prospects. All teams were from Kentucky.

• Harned Breckinridge Co.-67 Shepherdsville North Bullitt-66

• Owensboro Catholic-86 Louisville Male-84 (a major upset)

• Allen County Scottsville-66 Louisville Assumption-37

• Louisville Sacred Heart-77 Somerset Pulaski Southwestern-48

• Mt. Washington Bullitt East-75 Louisville Manual-74

• Florence Ryle-66 Louisville Mercy-36

Bullitt East played without 5-10 junior Lindsey Duvall who is out for the season with a knee injury. She has committed to Kentucky. In the Owensboro Catholic-Male game, there were 6 technicals against Male with two being on their coach, Champ Ligon. As a result of the two technicals, he will have to sit out the next two regular season games with one being against #3 Louisville Butler.

6 technical, two on Males coach? I would love to coach against them this year. With a physical style of play, I would get them frustrated and sit back and watch them self implode. I think some of these coaches think they have to be like Pitino and ride the refs and scream and holler. I did not see that game or have not seen Male play but from what I've read, even from the coaches mouth, they have to play as a team and it sounds like they are struggling to come to terms with their success.

Just saw the blog by Bolus, kudos to Coach Moir for getting recognized by Bolus as best Coach and didn't even need to get a technical to get a win. He says Male has the best senior (Green) , best little player (Sexton), best point guard (Harbinson) and most talented team. Would love to see Aimee Jump (Ryle) play. Does anyone know if any of the high schools live stream games or post to view after?

Man this should be an exciting season! Lots of excitement and talent in Kentucky for girls basketball!

Ryle had some games live streamed by tristatesportsradio but I don't believe they will be doing so this year. If in the Louisville area, Ryle will travel to Louisville Male in January. It was an OT game between the two last year.

Who made Rick Bolus the expert? That is hilarious. The only players he focuses on are those who attend his summer retreat. I cannot even call it a camp..It is almost like a day care.

And Male got six technicals in a scrimmage? What is wrong with people today? That kind of behavior should spread like wildfire in the official kingdom

So I believe that is a 3 game suspension for the coach now assuming he got 2 of them. Did any players get ejected? I will have to talk with Coach Robertson to get the skinny on this.

Sorry I missed the excitement.

Male vs Manual may call for lots of extra security when it takes place.

Best point guard Harbison? Did Lily Grimes of Breckinridge Co not play? What about the frosh Harris on SHA or Allyssa Peak of Bullitt East or or Katie Downey of No Bullitt or Mikayla Barry of Owensboro Cath? Surely Mr Bolus jests..not taking anything away from Harbison but I would take any of the others to run my point over her..I am guessing the ones I mentioned have never attended Mr Bolus camp.

I think Mr Bolus should perhaps consider auditioning for Comedy Central. If he could offer an opinion that was not so slanted we might be able to respect it, but I cannot

I am sorry I missed this event. Chris Stallings of Bullitt East runs a first class operation. I am sure the games were worth seeing.

Look forward to next week as the real season begins..Wish everyone good health!!
