  1. Will there really be a winner? At the end of the night they will still be Franklin County and Western Hills. No winners there. Go Bearcats!
  2. Anderson looked sloppy Friday night at times. They did lose a couple of starters to injury early in the game. I am sure that was part of the problem. They also couldn't convert an EPA for anything. The kicking game was a major struggle. They also looked lethal at times. Martin #20 ran the opening kickoff back for a TD. He then had a 70+ yard run that was just incredible. Every time he touches the ball he is a threat to score. Bryndon Labhart #28 is a beast. Can just run people over. Tyler Peters #17 picked off 2 passes. I believe he also scored a TD. Great athletic defensive players. The loss of Logan Davis is going to hurt the line on both sides of the ball. I think Anderson is going to have a learning curve since they are replacing so many starters on offense but I think the new guys are more athletic and will come into their own before the season is over. Anderson - 40 GRC - 17
  3. I think Anderson will be okay. They have the talent but are really lacking in height. Going to have a couple of freshman that will really contribute to go along with a solid senior class.
  4. I coach an 8U team and on my team it is required. Hopefully as the girls grow it will just become habit. Come to think of it, we've played 3 tournaments so far this season and I can not remember seeing a girl on any team in the field without one.
  5. My heart says Anderson pulls off the upset in the second round against McCracken. The girls certainly have the talent to play with anyone in the state. I think they finally put it all together and make a run.
  6. Last I heard, about an hour ago, was it was still on for tonight. I think the adults were hoping they would go ahead and cancel so they didn't have to worry about starting the long drive north.
  7. Anderson County gets a run in the top of the 6th before Collins gets a pair of unearned runs in bottom of 7th.
  8. They wouldn't win a game. The first time Justin Miller got the ball in the post all the lady guarding him would have to do is body him up. How many high school boys do you know that can keep their composure after touching a breast? Owensboro would crack.
  9. I've heard that Cann resigned from Lexington Christian.
  10. But that is just part of the sport. The scorekeeper has to decide if it was a hit or an error on the fielder. Most of the time it's a non-issue. Besides, you don't think basketball stats get flubbed some?
  11. Anderson gets in done tonight. A lot of talent coming back and they are focused to make a big run.
  12. Top 25 (first-place votes in parentheses): 1. McCracken County (21) 2. Scott County (8) 3. Male 4. Madisonville-North Hopkins (5) 5. Mercy 6. Ballard (1) 7. Central Hardin 8. Owensboro Catholic 9. Greenwood (1) 10. Ashland Blazer 11. Anderson County 12. Union County 13. Assumption 14. Meade County 15. Louisville Holy Cross 16. Christian County 17. Livingston Central 18. Bullitt East 19. Woodford County 20. Apollo 21. (tie) Green County 21. (tie) Franklin County 23. South Laurel 24. Oldham County 25. East Jessamine
  13. Collins has never beat Anderson so they have that on their back. It's also difficult to compare records without looking at the competition.
