A little surprised Highland or ND are not in the top 25 someplace.

East Carter with their dominant ace is worthy of discussion. Alabama recruit . nuff said .

The only reason I can see why they aren't, is that the rest of their team isn't very good. We played them last year in a tourney and they pitched their Ace (Montana) They beat us 1-0, they couldn't hit much, but maybe it was our Pitcher (MY DD):banana:

So they beat you but their team isnt very good ? Ok .

The "coaches polls" are voted on by coaches that are paid members of the KSCA, which this year is down to 106 head coaches across the entire state, with only Conners, Highlands and Notre Dame representing the 9th Region, so to make any sense or assumptions based on any of the polls coming out of this body, you must understand who is actually voting.

Combine the limited enrollment in the KSCA with the politics and voters personal feelings, both positive and negative, for individual teams, coaches and players around the state, this poll and the end of season awards have become, or maybe always have been, quite dubious, at best.

 

Not involved with the guys at http://www.truerank.org, but I like the approach they use. They have a mathematical algorithm that ranks teams and has a purported 82% accuracy over last 3 years.

They beat us 1-0, that was because we couldn't hit their pitcher. If anyone else would have pitched, we blow them out.

Been hyping that Woodford County team all winter. They are good and they will be top 5. They have 4 really good pitchers and they hit it up and down the lineup. Ranked way to low early .

Dang if the Bulls wouldnt had that Jordan guy .
