It's always fellow EKC teams that play in the EKC Grid-o-rama. Schools in the EKC are Lewis Co, Russell, Raceland, East Carter, West Carter, Fleming Co, Nicholas Co, Bath Co, and Fairview
Scored on the first possession of the 3rd and didn't get another bucket the rest of the quarter. Hard to watch.
But on a brighter note I want to wish the seniors nothing but the best! Trenton, Jake, Jacob, Seth, Tommy, and Jeremy are all good kids with bright futures ahead of them.
Can we? Yes. Will we? I'm not so sure. Really depends on which of our Jekyll and Hyde front courts show up and if our role players can pick up some of the scoring from Jake and Trenton.
2011. Rowan should have won in the first OT when a three was called a two on the court. Darrell Cross of Rowan hit the three at the end of the first OT to put it into Double OT and Anthony Hickey had the game winning assist to Kenja Bosley I believe as the horn sounded in Double OT.
Have not seen Kenser play, just going by what I see on KHSAA website. Sorry I have not gotten to see all the tournament teams play yet. If he's a forward then Lewis has the second best backcourt in the tournament.
Don't sleep on Lewis, I think they have the 3rd best backcourt in the tournament with Walker and Parker behind Rowan (Whelan and Antrobus) and Boyd (Anderson and Kenser). They also have wins over Elliott, Rowan, Fleming, Fairview, and Raceland. West and Boyd are the only teams in the tournament that Lewis did not beat at least once.
16th officials are bad. 15th are worse. Or at least they were the last time they called the 16th region tournament. I thought they were noticeably worse.
Lawrence County has been to the Sweet 16 before but apart of the 16th region. Both West Carter and Lewis County have an outside shot to win the 16th this year.
Holy upset. Props to Greenup and congrats to Gage Hughes for eclipsing the millennium mark. One heck of an athlete. (Basketball isn't even his best sport!)
