Ryle's QB has thown for 13 TDs with 2 picks according to the KHSAA site. He is 45 for 96 for 880 yards. No offense Ryle fans, but this would qualify as one-dimensional in must folks opinion. Thats not all bad. Indy Warren Central is one-dimensional, but they are multi-talented as they proved on Ryle's field a few years ago against Elder. Maybe some in-the-know Ryle fans can comment on these stats as well as enlighten me on Ryle's offensive scheme. Thanks.

Check your facts coach. Both Highlands and CovCath were ranked higher than Trinity for most of the season. The fact is that for the most part NKY 4A football is much weaker than NKY 1A and NKY 3A. Those classes get most of the respect.

Pretty good analysis. How many doubters did Nick Petrino have prior to last season? There probably wasn't on coach in Jefferson County that would have traded their QB for him. Coach Beatty saw something in Nick and helped (along with a healthy dose of Coach Brohm) bring it out. He took a kid that didn't measure up in the traditional sense and put him in charge of the offense and we all know the rest of the story. He wins a state title (MVP of the state game) with OC Sam Adams. Sam leaves, Coach Cov steps in and the Rocks don't miss a beat. I'm sure it won't stop rolling under Beatty's leadership after Nick moves on.

Rueff never played for Coach Beatty. He graduated in 2000 (99 football season, Kevin Wright). So the three mentioned would be the only D1 players and Murray was a walk-on. Hennessy (class of 02) went down to Middle Tenn. to play football but I don't know if he ever played. Jeff Sorg (class of 02) signed with Morehead and played one year. Savko (class of 05) signed with Morehead and is now at Western.

I would be willing to bet there aren't any "Go Rocks, take state" signs over on Poplar Level or Preston this week.

No offense, but its bad form to predict injuries. FYI, your QB played well into the third quarter. Also, if they plan on running at Jordan Whiting all night they had better pack a lunch.

Sounds about right. I don't think its unfair to say that for Ryle to win the Rocks must help them a little.

Lets not get personal. It was not you that touted Dunbar. It was another with pld in his name. FYI, we have excellent skill kids for high school football. Trinity's skill kids play within themselves and do the work. They may never play on Saturdays (or they may) but at the high school level they are excellent.

Tell me a little bit about Glen Este. How did they do in Ohio this season. FYI, I'd be more than happy if the T/Ryle game ended up like the Glen Este/Ryle game.

I really wonder how much of a measuring stick Hendo is? I saw them play Male and X a few years ago and they were never in the ballgame. They got steamrolled. This is back when Duffy was coach and they had Fidler. Very disappointing. I'm sure that a number of the Hendo faithful are looking for answers this morning. I guess the Duffy/Duffer era may be coming to an end.

I always thought the phrase was "thin thirty" referring to the Charlie Bradshaw era at UK. If the Duffys (father and son) want to coach thirty kids, I suggest they get a job in 1A.

I guess Nick came out last night with something to prove. Over 400 yards in offense, three TDs passing, three TDs running. To any coach in Trinity's district that didn't vote for Petrino, shame on you. He may not win Mr. Football, but he sure played like one last night.

I suggest you take some of your own advice. I realize that boards like this are for fans to argue, you should realize that as well. I'm sorry if some fan from Ryle picking them to win by 14 or 21 doesn't seem inflammatory to you. It does to me. I've listened to this same tune every year. You want respect, earn it. Until then, I'll continue to doubt. Just being honest.
