X usually has many more football players than Trinity. In the past few years X routinely has well over 100 freshmen. Trinity has had as few as 66. X always has around 50 seniors. Trinity usually has 25 or less. Yet Trinity has 4 titles to X's 1 this decade so far. Coach Beatty is 6-3 against X. I would think that since X has a slight lead on T in numbers they would beat Trinity more often than not, but recently that hasn't been true. Your thoughts?

That may have something to do with the level of competition. I believe someone else posted a comment on this board stating that Ryle hasn't played a single top ten team in the entire play-offs. Could that be true?

I think the folks at CovCath and Highlands would disagree with you. I'm beginning to think that if you shut down this Murray kid, game over. I think we will really see if Ryle can pass the ball and score lots of points. Trinity will score, no one has stopped them lately. Can Ryle answer? we'll see.

Thats a myth. He played some cover two in the game. He also played some cover two in the 02 game. It actually slowed down the pass but opened up the run. I just think if the Dawgs were in cover two more in the second half Trinity would have run out of time rather than the Dawgs. JMO.

Male had a great season. But lets clear up a few things. As it turned out X wasn't nearly as good as some thought they would be. Various reasons, check with your X friends. Manual was a scrappy young squad that fought hard but truthfully they weren't that good. PRP? Talk about hype meets reality. PRP was way over hyped. Male played a tough schedule but it didn't turn out to be the meat grinder that some predicted. 8 guys going both ways on a team with 75 plus soph, juniors and seniors? Whose call is that? Probably the same guy that thought up that D that allowed the Rocks to score easy TDs and get back into the game down 11 with 6 minutes to go.

The Sweet Sixteen is fine. Its an actual blind draw. The old luck of the draw. I think it would be better if it were seeded, but who would we trust to seed it. The whole blind draw fraud in football this year kind of exposes their ethics.

Nick is having a great year. But I think Doug wins by virtue of the both-ways component. Doug will win Mr. Football. While I hope Nick will win another state title. Seems fair to me.

I think the KHSAA should focus on having the top two teams if possible. The so-called blind draw has been exposed as a fraud. The fix was in to limit the teams from one dominate area, is that the job of the KHSAA? The result will be poor attendance and falling revenue. Should we cheer that outcome? I'm sure your response will be that low attendance will result in additional federal funds for the school system.

I think you are a little confused. It wasn't Trinity fans claiming to have a physical advantage over the Raiders. It was the other way around. Check out all the posts boasting of Ryle's "physical style of play" and how many Raiders are "animals" and "beasts". The NKY faithful branded the Rocks as a "finesse team". I think the difference may be that that while the Rocks have seen a number of teams that do what Ryle does (albeit maybe not as well) , Ryle hasn't played a team with Trinity's balance. JMO.

I have been told that Minniefield runs a 4.6. I doubt that Murray is a legit 4.6. The speeds that people post on this site are absurd. One guy had a 2A school in central Kentucky with 3 sub 4.5 guys. Thats about how many they had at the Indy NFL combine.

It will be low IMO. Thursday night. No disrespect to Ryle but they will come in as a huge underdog which turns off a lot of the walk up crowd. The weather looks bad. I'm guessing less than 10,000. Good job KHSAA.

No need to push any bus, we were at home already. FYI, we lost in the first game of the season to a pretty good, well balanced team with a very good coach. I still question if a one-dimensional team can win this late in the season. It seems like many on this board want to compare Ryle to the Boone county teams of the past. Those games with the Rocks were wars, but they were all won by the Rocks.

"good QB rating"? he has completed 46% of his passes. It looks like passing is less than a 1/4 of your offense. Its great to keep other teams honest, but what about plan B when some team shuts down the run? If Ryle gets behind are they done?
