The supply of strong kickers has exploded the last 3-4 years making it much harder to find a D1 home (that's my opinion). Jared is a strong left footed punter, may be fruitful to focus on that skill, not as many of those floating around. Just found out this morning Derek has been selected as an alternate for the Best of the Bluegrass game this weekend.

My thoughts on the game, there are 13 young men who win or lose are playing their last game together Saturday night. I know for us it is a blessing that our son is one of those 13 and I am going to miss every kid on the team and HS football as a parent going forward. They have played in this game and lost and they have played in this game and won. This is not the 2013 game with sophomores making their first trip to that stage facing a group of seniors who were experienced champs. I expect them to leave it all on the field and agree with what I have read here and elsewhere that this team is on a mission to prove something. As far as the actual outcome of the game, I can't think of an outcome that would surprise me. If Pulaski turns the ball over and has a couple of injuries, could be lopsided in BG's favor. If they play the whole game like they played the second half of the Highlands game, could be lopsided in Pulaski's favor. If you made me bet, probably a tight game in the 30's-40's.

Got that, but what does it tell us other than the larger schools play more teams?

Seems skewed to larger schools playing more top 5000 and top 2000 teams and generally having better records. I'm not sure what to take away from the numbers.

I didn't realize comparing someone to the Highlands fan base would be so offensive. I think there is a confidence that comes through when a program has been successful for a long period, old money so to speak. I can "hear" that in posts from both groups. Just noting the confidence, nothing more. Agree, none has disrespected PC

Absolutely, you should be picking your team to win, that's the key part of being a fan. As a group, and not specific to you PP92, the comments are similar. Team speed, tradition, 4 of 5 years, etc. that's all I was saying.

Bowling Green fans and Highlands fans are a lot alike.

Now that PC is playing in the final game, this is the sequence I wanted, Highlands in the semis and BG in the finals. If we are going to win it this year, I wanted to play those two teams. Hoping for a win next Sat night.

It varies by game and other factors. I would love to see Mason play more TE and get some targets. That kid is a football player. Wish he would get the Kash Daniel treatment and someone would recruit him hard.

Pulaski runs two platoons. George Gregory is the only player that plays a significant number of snaps on both sides. A couple of other players may play 5 or so snaps on the opposite side of the ball during a game.

Zero difference in the kicking game between the two schools.

Had the ball in his hands at the end of the game, two big runs to ice the clock. Toughed it out, I don't see him missing Friday's game.

Absolutely great game plan by Coach Larkey and they executed it perfectly. Made us Maroon fans and parents sweat it out. My hats off to him and the North Laurel team.

Who are the kickers for the KY team?

Ton of respect to Tyler Pack, great kicker. Pulask County kicker Derek Burgett is just as good. Doesn't get many or very long FG opportunities due to the PC offense and Hines coaching philosophy, but he delivers on what he's asked to do. 58-58 on PATs this year, made 63 in a row and 223 in his career, second all time in KY. 2-3 on FGs and puts his KOs where the coaches ask him, either back of the end zone or on the one with big hang time. These rivalry games are the worst for me. I agree with everyone's opinion here, Pulaski should win by 2-3 scores. I will be glad when it's over though.
