Clay wins in a close one. Blake Smith had 33 and sealed the win with 2 free throws with 5 seconds left. He was on another level tonight. Farmer also looked good for Clay. I will say this Clay has some work to do. There role players struggled and you could tell that Wolfe was still injured.

Yes I watched every second of this game as well as several of there games last year. They are slow and play no defense. Tolbert was a man among boys yesterday and Beverly looked like he was 2-3 steps ahead of everyone Wayne County had. Like I said they will win every home game and have an impressive record but there is no way this is a top 20 team.

Wayne County is very over rated. They are a system team and are not athletic at all. I thought perry was better at every position on the floor other than 1. And perry's bench was 10 to 1 better. If Wayne County is the 6th best team in the state then the state is worst I've ever seen. I'm sure Wayne will put up another impressive record because they don't lose at home. But I just can't see them beat any team that is athletic. I think they are in the 20-25 range and that perry should be in the 12-18 range.

Imo North doesn't stand a chance against clay and knox if Collier doesn't get cleared to play. But I will say with him and on paper they have the talent. The thing with north is that Blake Smith can absolutely shut Broughton down. So where does there points come from. Well with collier they are there. He was a bad matchup for clay last year and had huge games. If smith and farmer can co exist and clays role players do there job I still see them being a tough out and the favorite come march. And I'm telling you for those that haven't seen smith and farmer this summer they have improved 1000 %. If the coach gives them some rope to play u will see great things from this duo.

If u think Robert marcum deserves respect wait til u see his line up this year. Then u will re consider. There are more politics being played right now than I can ever remember. He has Farmer playing the point. The slowest player he has and also his best rebounder. I just don't understand that when he has 2 players that could run it fine. But we will see. I'd bet my house that the first team that presses clay that Farmer can't get it up the floor.....somethings never change around here

This is probably the most accurate I've seen the region described as a whole. And if Collier gets cleared he is a game changer. Couldn't agree more about Blake Smith from Clay County. He is an absolute stud and the best 2 way player I've seen in many years. I have heard that there are several D1 schools looking hard at him as well. I really believe this is a 3 team region with knox, clay and north. And north only competes with collier

This doesn't surprise me at all. I also agree there is no way there is enough shots for that group of kids. And if u are gonna lose a couple players due to a 3 month player I think it's crazy. But who knows it may work out and get them rupp. With the chemistry issue with broughton and Asher already just don't see how this helps at all.

I've seen him play. He has the potential to be an absolute stud. But I doubt that he will ever get the chance playing at north. That whole offense is geared around Broughton, and then u have asher who needs touches as well. Unless he plans on cleaning up there misses and being a garbage player. I don't see him sticking there. Plus there was rumors this summer that he was coming to a couple other teams. But in the right offense this kid could be special

Yes this team should be as good or better than last year's team. They return farmer, smith, and Wolfe. Farmer is good and has the name but Blake Smith is there best player and is probably the best in the region. He has exploded this summer and has several D1 schools looking hard at him. They do not have a big which could hurt . But with the 1-2 punch of Smith and farmer I look for good things from this team

Also just heard that Blake Smith is getting real interest from Texas AM corpus Christie as well as 2 Virginia schools and a D1 school out of Illinois. Hate I hear that about Baxter kid has talent

I disagree with the player rankings, Smith from Clay should be 1 or 2 . And there is no way Broughton should be that high. The kid can't score against length and real in ur face defense. Also think Marsee should be higher as well. Everything else looks about right

I dont see how you can put Trey Farmer on this list when he's not even the best player on his team. Blake Smith is the best player Clay has and his potenial is 10x that of Farmer. Smith was invited to Nike's All American Camp this summer and put on a show from what im told. Said he was on a team with a top 150 guy and Smith came away with top player honors for his team. i know Farmer has the name but anyone who watches clay on a consistent basis knows Smith is gonna be special, just doesnt get much press.

Georgia heat just beat CH all stars by 6. Good showing by the Mountain kids just ran out of steam. Not enough depth. Need to add a player or 2. Blake SMITH and Blair really played well. I like there game a lot. Good luck to remaining KY teams

They are all eastern ky. Mountain kids. Blake Smith -Clay Connor Hoskins - Buckhorn James Blair - Buckhorn Braxton Whittmore- breathitt Collet- Leslie Haddox and Lawson - Wolfe county. Smith had 2 great games to start with some real nice dunks. Think he got 16 and 17. E1 T1 just beat them.

Cameron hoskins all stars are 2-0. Will have E1T1 out of Florida next. They have looked really good first 2 games.

I agree 100% with your statement. In order to be in the running for Mr. Basketball a player must have a name heading into the season.
