Glad that I wasn't the only one that looked and wondered why no one else was down the floor to help Tanner out.

I have to say one thing that it tested last night, and impressed me, about was the man-2-man NCC ran with Conner. Conner is a quick team and not having the bigs inside like a lot of other teams we saw NCC guarding guys outside and having to run with smaller faster guys more than have done with other teams. I would say with a sloppy 1st half from NCC and a very strong half for Conner it gave NCC a lot of problems. Smaller guys on the inside meant more balls were getting hit/stolen and Conner capitalized on that It was a win, but not what a lot expected, including myself.

Totally agree, it does take that player to take a lot of shots to get to the foul line that many times but you can't force a free-throw. How many games do we watch where free-throws could totally change the outcome of the game.

Reminds me of HC, seems like they have similar heights but obviously Conner seems to be playing much stronger lately. Would be fun to see.

What are the heights of their main players for Conner? Is Landon their tallest?

It never ceases to amaze me what High Schools do for their kids, this was completely awesome. Much respect to both schools..

Nice win by NCC. With the Moeves brothers from the trey line and McDonald and Schulte inside, it was a tough game for the Rocks to figure out where they were going. Oh yea throw in Pangallo handling the ball and Weyer adding both an inside and outside threat. NCC does a good job of getting everyone involved and is very unselfish. Overall very impressed with Rock's Spaulding which he can get up... His tip ins and put backs were nothing but unreal. Also, Owens for the Rocks was as tough as tough can get. The problem he had last night was that McDonald seemed to have an answer for him every time he got the ball.

While we always don't agree with the calls all refs made I think having 3 for this game helped. While you could look at it and say it hurt because they saw more in reality I think it helped. Hats off to CCH and all the members of the Jack Kaelin Freshmen Tournament Committee. Look forward to watching next year's tournament.

CCH played a nice defense. Did very nice job keeping ball from the inside. Didn't look like the NCC team I've seen in the past. They didnt run many of the plays I've seen them run successfully in the Holmes game. They held Pangallo to 5 and Wurtz didn't score leaving Moeves and Neff to be the primary scorers. Foul trouble didn't have as much of a role with the bigs as I thought . Zigglemeyer played a nice game and Angel was able to pick up a few extra buckets. Great way to end a freshman season for both teams, looks to be a bright future for both schools..

Based on what I've seen watching the tournament games. I think the teams with the bigs that can stay out of foul trouble will come out on top. In the last game CCH one fouled out in the 4th and one in the middle of OT. Should be a great game.

I don't believe this is a triple header, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure why because I agree that would be a good game to see.

From the days I was at the game watching I saw that CCH provided pizza and drinks for the players after the games. Class act by CCH in every way in making these boys feel every bit as important as the varsity teams.....

Just wanted to add that while a couple have not scored as much as usual they seem to be contributing in other ways in these wins. From watching these last few games it appears they have fixed what went wrong in the Highlands game. Best of luck to these young men and thank you to CCH for broadcasting the championship game, I'll be rooting for NCC from a distance.

Agree with that, with this weather you have to let them play because you don't know when the weather is going to get you. Your Moeller game for example. Good point.

Not so much a beef with him and this may happen more than I realize. When I see teams blow out teams and you look at the box scores and you see one kid still racking on the points, you gotta wonder. I think I would rather see a team with 5/6 or more in double figures than just 2/3. There is no question he is one of the best in the region, I would just like to have seen him or any other top scorer on their team with fewer points giving their other teammates more opportunities to score. And last night CCH showed they have others that really can shoot.

Dixie had two taller boys from `91? Andy Motz? 6`11 and `93 Drew Powers 6`8. I'm pretty sure that was their heights. Anyone help on this?

I guess my previous post I should have mentioned who my reference was about. I was really talking about Nick R, very nice player and nice shot, did he need to be in till 2 minutes left? I guess I respect teams more when they do not continue to pour it on with thier starters in while being up by as much are 30 at one time. Think it could have been a much different game has Dixie been able to get the role one time or another. CCH seemed to have it in hand from the beginning.

Sitting her wondering why he just came out with only 2 minutes left, oh wait he can now keep his avg up. How many times has this happened this year that he has stayed in to keep his avg up?

Its 3:07 and I'm sure glad that schools were closed today, and or our kids were let our early. If the weather gets any worse than it is now I probably won't let my son drive to the game, I'll take him. I agree with lawildcat that I'm using my parental responsibility to make sure my kid gets to and from the game safely.

I thought schools had to get BOE approval to play game when the County cancels all activities. Can anyone confirm?

With the way NCC has been playing well and with Holmes not, I have to give it to NCC. If Holmes is able to get more than their two main guys in double figures it could be closer.
