Holy Cross did give Cooper a closer game than I expected, although I never felt they were in a position to actually get the win. They did pull within a couple of possessions on multiple occasions, but each time, Cooper pushed the lead back out to a comfortable margin. I did not see anything that I would say was the Indians undoing more than what the Jags were accomplishing. Both teams were far from the level I would expect them to be come Feb/Mar, which is to be expected.

I agree, from this angle he appears to be onside, it is almost the exact sight line l had from where I was sitting. This is NOT a good angle to make the call from, this is about 15 yards to the right of where the player in question is. If you look across the field you can see that the AR appears to be in a good position to make the correct call. Unless someone has a shot/video that is in line with the goal line, I am trusting the AR made the correct call, whether he is Catholic or not.

If you can, and are so confident, put it out there.... or are you not allowed? This little game gets exhausting.

RCC9.... I think you are missing my point, I get what you are saying about the changes at other schools... some are new and some because of growth.... I don't disagree. My point is that no huge swings in numbers at HHS but there has been a pretty big shift with their football program... I just think there is more to it than what you tying it to.

If I buy into your enrollment argument I also have to look at the flip side. What has occurred with the enrollment numbers at Highlands the past 5-10 years? I am asking because I honestly do not know. If I apply your logic as to why the other schools have gotten better I would think that the numbers at HHS have seen a drastic decrease.

No part of my comment was hating on anyone. I was just pointing out that I don't feel that additional state championships are a given. It almost seems like you are wanting there to be "haters", I guess this would help ensure relevancy.

I also expect to see a big crowd tonight. I am puzzled by the low turnout for the Lexington schools the past 2 years. In last years final, I would estimate that the CCH supporters accounted for 70% of the crowd when they played Henry Clay.

There WILL be football at Highlands, there MIGHT be future state champions.... we will all find out in due time.
