So, is it fair to say that they could be winning, and doing well.... just not living up to the expectations of the community over the past years. I ask, because I see these two as different measuring sticks.

I am pretty sure that when you see a college release a listing of those that have signed, it is those who actually received some sort of athletic scholarship. They may also publish a listing of others who have signed/committed at a later date, these are typically the student athletes that are not receiving any sort of funding from the athletic department.

I am all for kids being able to continue their athletic career in college, I think it is great. If I look at the scenario you are describing, in which a kid is signing for a "JV" team, what exactly are these kids signing at this ceremony?

It looks like the bracket for the 45th is set up to favor the #1 seed (Lincoln Co), with no regard to the 4/5 seeds. Garrard Co. will play them tonight and then the winner will not play again until the 24th. Boyle Co/Danville winner will play the 22nd and 24th, one day rest compared to a two break for the #1 seed if they advance tonight.

The comment from Cardsrule1972 is correct. With the first round district matchups being Anderson Co v Spencer Co, SO v NO, and SK v WV; three of these six teams won't make it to the regionals.

@NKYBASKETBALL You claim to be close to the Cooper program, if so, please stop with these sort of comments.... they are not a good representation of what the program is about. SMH!!!

I think these two points are spot on. I have also seen several kids that are able to raise their level of play when playing against tougher competition. Please don't take this as a knock on ANYONE... I am of the belief that in High School, you are not always seeing everything some of these players have to offer.

What was the SK coaches reaction to the blatant fouls/punch?

It seems like the refs really botched some calls, and possibly missed some plays that were worthy of an ejection. Regardless of another players actions, if your recourse is to hurt someone, just to send a message.... How is your behavior any different than theirs?
