I am not sure I would go as far to say it's stunning. Hall is a very nice player but this is not the first time I have seen him have very little impact in a game this year.

HC did keep Cooper about 10 points below their average, I'm not sure I would say it was because of their defense though. IMO, I would attribute it to the slower pace of the game and a sluggish start by the Jags, I believe they only had 7 points after the first quarter. I think the patience of HC on the offensive end kept Cooper from playing at their preferred pace for a big portion of this one.

I was not expecting HC to play lock down defense on them, what I saw by some was closer to not being interested in playing defense at all. I was not placing blame either, just a simple observation.

It appeared to me that the perimeter defense for HC was lacking most of the night, even more so in the 4th quarter.

If this is correct, this whole discussion about her eligibility for next year was based on bad information.

My answer was just about the rule in general, nothing more. If there is more to this young ladies situation, or if there are some extinuating circumstances, I don't think it is something that needs to be resolved or discussed on here.

If she is already 19 years old, this will be her last year of HS sports.

The "only have to win one game" comment, also cracks me up. I believe this is the case for about 90% of the schools. If HC were able to put together a couple of wins this week, I still think there would be a poster that finds fault with the coach.

If it is not that big of an accomplishment, why has it not been done at HC in over 20 years?

I think this is pretty close... Top 2 hard to argue. I think you can make a case for 3-5 being at about the same level, I feel the same about 6-8 as well.

It would make for a nice story line if someone else wins the region. I think you are way off base if you think either CCH or Cooper feel the least bit entitled.

IMO... not sure it's that simple. Ryle came out playing very deliberate, not quite a stall but definitely no urgency to attack the rim. There were some possessions that were in the one minute range which resulted in no points, this approach also limited their total possessions in this one. This, combined with Cooper's defense and ability to quickly convert on the other end, made for a very tough night for the Raiders
