New polls came out yesterday and CU finds themselves at #1 in all of NAIA. Congrats to Keith and the guys! Something that is impressive as well is that the womens team are ranked #3 in their poll. Big accomplishment for the Tigers and Lady Tigers!!

If you want to take anything out of his decision on where you THINK he may go, it would be the time of the announcement. He is doing the announcement at 1:30 or so in front of his school. Hopefully he doesnt have a cold heart and breaks everyones in the gym and picks OSU/Bama. That would be my guess as to why hes going to choose UK. Other than that, I'm just as lost as everyone else out there.

Coach Cal on his Blog this morning: Alex tore his ACL during yesterday’s practice. It was a breakaway layup and no one bumped him. He stepped with his left foot and just went down. When I saw Alex last night, I said to him exactly what I said to Nerlens: “You’re fine. If this is something crazy, you have insurance and you’re a millionaire. You have even more time than Nerlens had to prepare yourself for the draft if that’s what you choose to do. You can also come back. You’re going to have your degree in May and you can start on a master’s degree for your last year.” Alex is nearly a straight-A student and one of the greatest kids that I’ve ever coached. Our team was devastated for Alex when I told them. There were tears throughout the room because this hurt them to the core. How they will respond I really don’t know, but I will do my best to be there for each of these kids. I told them, this is a big blow to our team. No one will be able to replace Alex and what he did for this team. I go back to last year’s NCAA Tournament. Without Alex, we don’t win those games. No one will be able to replace him, but now everybody has to do a little bit more as we try to circle the wagons.

Austin Hash, Campbellsville - 111

Huge rivalry game early in the season tomorrow. Taylor County comes in at 3-0 with an impressive win at Etown and in Indy against a solid team in Cathedral. Campbellsville is off to a good start at 2-0 with wins at Cumberland County and at home against Union County. Taylor Countys resume is by far better but this 2-0 start for Campbellsville can be that little confidence booster they needed. Of course everyone knows about Quentin Goodin for Taylor but how about Brandon Berry??? Berry scores 29 Saturday night for the Cardinals to led them over Cathedral. Goodin chipped in a solid 23 points to follow. The Eagles were led by AJ Vaught on friday night with 17 points against Cumberland County and a hot hand from transfer Blake Clark led the Eagles over Union County. Clark had 23 in 6-12 from three on Saturday night. These schools are seperated by 1.5 miles and both teams dont like each other very much. Each team knows that bragging rights are on the line for the city of Campbellsville. Expect a big crowd tomorrow night.

Campbellsville/Spencer County played tonight. CHS varsity won 48-36.

One of my favorite game moments was in Dec 2001 against North Carolina when Tayshaun Prince came down and hit 5 threes in a row and that last one being nearly on the U at half court.

I wouldnt say more successful, I would say he is probably making way more money than any of us on here. But you can be successful at any job you do, for example Im a teaching and Ive become successful from where I started. Hes just successful in his profession. But yes, he probably is doing way better than all of us LOL

Cville had their first practice of the year on it yesterday! The smell, the feel, and the looks of it all excited me for the season! Im sure Coach Davis is just like Coach Adams, first time he sees someone with boots on walk across it, he'll be furious! LOL

Just finished a week ago, the high school teams have been sharing the middle school gym with 4 different teams. This floor may be one of the nicest in the state IMO. If anyone else has other pics of other school floors please share, would love to see them.

Theres not much you can do when as soon as the ball is snapped youre already getting hit in the backfield. CHS line is too small to take on these bigger schools. Thats why if you put him in a 5A or 6A school, he dominates. Too many times this year hes made a loss a huge gain.

Campbellsville will be the sleeper.

The lady Eagles have a new coach with a lot of fire and passion. If he gets that young/talented team motivated....look out.
