Here are his stats:

9 games - 95 carries for 1,472 yds.

That is 113 less carries than the state leader, in ALL CLASSES. Put him on a 5A or 6A team with a great line, and he is leading the state. But, he is yet to be recognized. He is D-1 and folks don't even include him in the top rising Juniors.. Next year, he will be the BEST RB in the state.

By the way, that's 15 yards a carry in Class A with a VERY MARGINAL offensive line.

Not being talked about, probably because his performances against Danville and Williamsburg. There are ALOT of RB's that play behind marginal OLines. Easy to run on the Lynn Camp, Berea and Bethlehem's of the world.

I watched him on Hudl. He outruns most people with few broken tackles or yards after contact. That won't cut it in the bigger classes. You have to perform against the best on your schedule and he hasn't done that. I've seen a few D1 guys over the years and he's not D1. However, I do think he's a college football player that can have great success in the right situation.

Theres not much you can do when as soon as the ball is snapped youre already getting hit in the backfield. CHS line is too small to take on these bigger schools. Thats why if you put him in a 5A or 6A school, he dominates. Too many times this year hes made a loss a huge gain.

I'm not sure what your fascination is with 5A and 6A, but a school, by virtue of being 5A or 6A, does not automatically have a great line. Simple fallacy.
