I do not remember 5 technicals. I must have missed something. I remember each bench getting one, a UHA player for slamming his hand on the floor, and another UHA player getting one for a chest bump on a Caldwell player. I must be forgetting one.

Worst called game I have ever seen. The refs were totally lost during the whole game. Seemed to be a little lopsided. Tight game at the half, but UHA come out the third quarter and opened it up. Made a heck of a run to start the second half. Caldwell never recovered. When you get outshot at the charity stripe like that, there is no excuse. Tiny gym, but very loud.

The NKY bias on here is unreal. Hopefully this current membership drive will equal some of that out. If the NKY folks could see outside their little world they too would understand how good Hop town is. They will get their chance. All those folks can say is how good their region is. Only one problem with that. You only get to advance ONE seems to me that is an advantage for everyone else. Hard to get to the sweet 16 being the second best team in your own region. Lol.

Being a Caldwell fan and a fan of Sindelar, I pains me to see that he will probably be on the outside looking in at the 2014 KY Mr Football. Harris is a stud, and will deservedly get all the hype. There are a few downsides for Elijah. His team needs to make a state championship game appearance in 2014. Will be tough to do with losing so many of the O-line. Sindelar is one hell of a QB, but Mr Football will require a lot of press and attention. Going out early in the playoffs or having a bad season would kill his chances. IMO

EASY there Rambo. Great to be a fan and all, but time for a reality check. Not quite the best player in the region I do not think. i believe many others would also disagree with you. Fine player no doubt, but best in the region is a stretch at best.

Haven't seen UHA play. Caldwell has plenty of talented players. Sindelar, Pepper, McCarty, just to name a few. Just do not play as a team. Too much individual play. Poor at the stripe too. Just haven't played together enough. Will get better as season goes on.

I believe that is 41.7% of the votes that were received. That number sounds a lot better. If you carry that number out he gets 92 votes.

That is very confusing. I am lost. Surely you are not speaking of Sindelar and Barker. I think if you are, you have gotten some really bad info.

The thing about is that the NKY folks don't realize there are more areas with "block votes" than their area. They just don't get that there is much more football in this state than in NKY. Venture outside their little realm of the world and they would figure this out.

Along with Fant and Harris (and many others), what a potent offense this would be. Looks like this kid starting to get the state-wide recognition he deserves.

The passing game that Caldwell played all year included very few screen passes. Something they tried to feature against Murray. You obviously never watched them play or have a clue how the game went.

I would take the top five teams in 2A and throw Mayfield right in with them (DeSales, CAL, Glasgow, NCC, and Caldwell). Any of those would dominate 1A just like Mayfield did. I believe the next five teams in 2A (Murray, Somerset, OCath, Bardstown, and Union Co) would have had a pretty easy time in 1A themselves. You could probably throw Beechwood and Frankfort in with them, but they would struggle. Just not much comparison between these two classes. Mayfield is the exception to the rule (GREAT program). To say that anyone else in 1A could compete in the top ten of 2A is a stretch at best. I think you could do this same thing between 2A and 3A, and probably every class the rest of the way up.

Caldwell's run game fed off of its passing game. The pass opened up many holes in defenses all year. Not that the RB isn't good, because he is. Just a matter of fact. Caldwell got stopped on a cold night when they got dedicated to the run.

What about ETOWN. That would be as close to center as it can get. BG is the next.

From what I saw Belfry would handle Mayfield fairly easily in a normal setting, but there is no denying Mayfield is a very well coached, skilled team who is not afraid to step up to play better competition. The fact we can even have this conversation is a testament to how good of a program Mayfield has because a 1A team rightfully shouldn't even be in this discussion normally. Hold up there. One dimensional? Obviously you didn't see Caldwell play or you would not have made such a statement. I believe they beat Mayfield by running the ball. Obviously, Caldwell is known as a passing team.
