If his grades are great, along with great work ethic, is easily coached, stays out of trouble, he could go to any college he wants to. Interest from Alabama as a 7th grader, is a good sign that he is special. Will be fun to follow his progress over the years. Best of luck to the young man. :thumb:

Last year I didn't hear anything that Cooper was having a down year. Only 6A NKY team that lost to the Birds. People saying that this year is going to be a down year for Cooper. The Birds may not dominate Cooper, but will be competitive for sure.

Any news on this years HHS team. Something positive I hope.

Thought I would bring this thread back up since it's not very often that KY plays teams from FL. at the high school level. First I think CC head coach implies that a lot of times that there isn't a lot of respect or sportsmanship shown at some of the HS games in Florida. That's my take, yours may be different. The Florida team on T's schedule this year sounds a lot like University Christian that played Highlands a while back. Small roster and won the 2A state title the year before. Highlands won the game handily. Trinity will cruise in this one. No disrespect to either team. CC was runner up in the state title game getting beat in a very close game in 8A. Someone said CC had over 4500 students attending school there. WOW!

The great players in the state don't need stats to prove how good they are. People in the know, already know who they are. Stats can be padded and too many variables for the stats to be accurate.

6A State Champs, won their game 16-13 in OT. They had 4 regular season losses, if I remember corrected

Indy State Finals: 6A 2014 Warren Central 7 Carmel 6 Final (1st year for Carmel in 6A) 6A 2015 Ben Davis 42 Carmel 24 final 6A 2016 Carmel 16 Center Grove 13 in OT final From 2014 to present, Indy Cathedral has not made the state final game. In 2013 they were listed as 5A, but obviously things could have changed by now. I'm always pulling for the KY teams, but can't the Indiana teams lightly.

I'm also AMAZED that the NKY football programs worry more about Highlands than trying to figure out how to beat Trinity, X and Male. :lol2:
